Parent support groups, south florida area?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have been searching for a support group in my area in south florida and have had no luck. I google it but the only thing that really comes back is a local Chapter of Autism Speaks, which is not very local.

Any advice on how to find one, I'm really looking to find a play group or social club that is both parents and kids.

The Autism Society of America has a few chapters down here - the Broward county group seems to be the most active. I'm in northern Palm Beach county and there's not a lot here - we do have a PB chapter, but we're not real active. I belong to a Facebook play group for kids with autism in PB/Broward county (Autism Play Group of Palm Beach & Broward County), but I mostly miss events as I work weekends. :/ That group is mainly centered around Boca Raton.

You might want to go there and find out what's available.

Have you tried signing up for NSU/CARD or CARD at FAU?

I am in Boca and would be interested in the FB group. Do they accept anyone?

Yup, although I think the main admin is having problems accessing the 'net right now, so it might take a little while to get active there.
