calendar calculation skill?

Hi all,

does anyone have a kid who can do calendar calculation? we recently figured out that our son knows what day of a week will be any date that you give him. His school grades are balanced between math and language ie he is doing ok (noting spectacular) in both of them equally.

Dr. Spencer Reid is good at this. I did actually meet a woman years ago who did this. She also told me how she deduced dates. If I asked her something arbitrary, like Nov 14, 1988, she'd quickly calculate the date based on its distance to its nearest holiday or event. Fascinating.

Ours doesn't, but I think one of the kids in one of my son's social skills classes could do it...

I'm sure there is someone here who can do that but I think they are an older adult, unfortunately I cannot remember their username. Hopefully they will see this thread.
