My brother did EMDR and swears by it, but it strikes me as being a bit snake-oily. Here's an article on Skeptic.com that seems to agree with what I think of it: http://www.skepdic.com/emdr.html

I tried it. It did nothing. Talking about things in more traditional psychotherapy (this is what is happening, is what I am perceiving right or wrong, how do I work with certain problems) has been more helpful.
I tried EMDR for sensory issues but that only made them worse. It seems to be no better or worse than therapy that exposes one to memories.

I looked into EMDR for treating my own PTSD, I was not aware it had any applications for treating issues related to Asperger's. The research I read indicated that EMDR showed no better outcomes than traditional psychotherapy and since my insurance would cover the latter and not the former, that's where I went.
