Perserverations in vocabulary- repeating a word or phrase, she's 'stuck' on it and can't go further, she can speak fluently but then she gets to the point where she repeats the same word over and over again (it can be part of echolalia but not neccesserily), example- one kid I work with is not fluent in speech but in special condition he speaks or blabs , then gets to the point where he perseverates ' agda agda agda agda agda' with no eye contact (meaningful word in my language)...so yes perseverations and echolalia can be problem, but they are usually good sign of verbal exression which is often used positively in speech therapy... wish you all the best
