Can anyone direct me to any good homeschooling forums, and/or any online resources that have been helpful for getting started in homeschooling? I'd prefer resources that are not SOLELY religion-based. I've done my own poking around, but I feel I'd prefer to get some direction from people here who have already gone through it.

As a bonus, if anyone has anything specific to California, that would be awesome.

Thanks!

I like http://www.secularhomeschool.com/forum.php, and still follow it even though we're not homeschooling. If anything they lean somewhat anti-religion, but are not intolerant of members who do believe.

You can also try yahoo groups and Meetup in your area.
