I want to place an urgent plea to parents to seriously monitor what your kids (whether they are under the age of sixteen or not) are doing online. I'm not saying that one should be a helicopter parent, but there is some stuff out there that your ten year old could stumble across online that would mess them up for life.
Now, your teen, like as not, has viewed some x-rated content before. Many teens do. This won't completely mess them up, but it can hurt a young child (well, it is illegal to show a child certain stuff, because it will damage them). But what is worse is the violence out there, even in places were you wouldn't expect. Take the App Store for example. Your child could download and play horror games. YouTube? I watch stuff like "Saw Traps", and "scariest videos on the internet" all of the time. Rarely will it say that you must be 18 or older to see this content, and, for those videos that do, the content presented is not really any worse than the other stuff! So, monitor and filter what your child is watching.
THE FOLLOWING IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. If your son or daughter, at no matter the age, talks about the deep web, also known as the "dark net, dark web, etc.", strongly recommend them to see the authorities and also to move away from their current home IF THEY HAVE BEEN ON IT!! !! They should not be arrested for simply visiting the deep web, but their lives may be in danger. For more info, ask for more. I don't mean to alarm you, but this is a serious issue at hand that many don't know about.
So, parents, protect your children in this sick world. You don't want to know how sick it really is (PM me if you do. I know of some YouTube videos that will give you an idea.).
Have a descent day!
