Hi lovely people!

Your on this topic because you want to be able to help the unique situations that parents of ASD face.

My name is Rebecca and I am currently studying my Masters of Clinical Psychology. I am conducting research and my thesis topic is based on how the diagnosis of ASD affects stress on parents in Australia. The survey requires Australian parents who have children with autism to complete an online survey. The aim of the study is to reduce parents' stress levels with an intention to ultimately provide better support for parents and an increase in their quality of life!

The survey is completely anonymous and is expected to take a maximum of 20 minutes. Your participation will not only make a difference in my research, but most importantly, it will help you and other parents contribute to a better understanding of the stress you experience.

Here is the link-surveymonkey.com/r/JXWSR2M

Your participation is immensely appreciated!! !

"You're" on this topic...

your - shows possession
you're - contraction of "you" and "are"

Someone studying for a master's degree really should not make a mistake like that.

backgroundcheck, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Macnab , one fancy university. And another: Macnab holds a Doctor of Divinity degree from the University of Aberdeen "The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord".
That doesn't stop from rewriting the ten commandment, oh yes, specialized in trauma treatment and training and was for some time the largest training body for psychologists and counsellors in the country.

What a peculiar thread!

The Survey Monkey link is broken.

The discrepancy between the title, "What can I do to help as a parent of ASD?" and the restated focus of the thread in the OP, "[you're] on this topic because you want to be able to help the unique situations that parents of ASD face," is large. It seems very odd to begin a post by telling people why they are reading it. Surely this is something people already know?

Perhaps the title should have been "Stress reduction in Australian parents of children with ASD" and then the content could focus less on people's motivation for reading it and more on the methods and goals of the research. Perhaps a working link might be included.

It's hard to get involved when even the leaders can not clearly state what to get involved in.

Maybe the poster is not a native English speaker despite being from Australia and using an English-friendly name. The OP may have intended "What can I do to help as a parent of ASD?" to mean that she is doing a survey intended to discover what help the parents of kids with autism need in order to deal with stress.

I agree it doesn't seem typical for American or British or Australian English.
