Hi,

I recently read about how a sensory first aid kit could be useful for outings for ASD people. It struck me as a really good idea but there are five of us (including Dad who I am also sure is probably aspie too) and I'm just not sure what could go in it without my bag becoming overloaded (I don't cope well when I have to carry too much stuff, I really need my arms to remain free).

Anyway, I just wanted to throw it open to the floor...what would you put in a sensory first aid kit?

For myself?

Earplugs and mp3 player and fidget toys and sunglasses and something to chew on (gum or chewy toys or both)....although those are all more prevention than first aid.

Also dry clothes (because I completely freak out if I have to wear wet clothes for too long.....the sensation is unbearable).
