I know! When someone here gets sick I'm expected to care for them and make sure they're comfortable and everything else. I just had a baby by c-section that turned into a hysterectemy ((big drama, I know, story of my life >< )) and instead of relaxing, I'm expected to stay up with the baby all night long, cook, do the dishes, and help move into the new house. ><
My mom actually scolded me for letting my husbands mom take care of the baby a few hours a day so I can nap while my husband is at work. She says 'who's raising this baby, her or you?'
edit: I'm so sorry Smelena, I forgot to wish you a quick recovery ^^
That's dreadful! Why can't your mum help with the baby? Would she like it if your stitches got infected and you had to be hospitalised with an infection. New mothers are supposed to be "spoiled" and it used to be quite common for families to get a lady "in" to do some of the housework to let the mother rest. Your husband should also be helping more with the housework too.
