I've had my midst son living with me for the last couple of days except when I was delivering him to school this thursday and I got a very hard pre-telling of a EP seizure so I made Him go to school by himself the last part so I could get back home and take my EP medicine.

Kabam. A petit mal hitting me, throwing me into a car trolley, fortunately there where workers inside noticing me. It's utmostly seldom appearing EP seizures nowadays, since I have a working medicine. But I just felt "oh s**t, not now" and slammed my head into the truck, broke my glasses and went to a full scale neck X-ray with a following magnetic resonance slice imaging I was out for only about 4-5 minutes or so so it wasn't a big problem..

Since this is something that has happened several times before, I just asked the workers inside the display window to call for a ambulance. I knew for sure that I missed my EP medicine that prev evening and morning so I was quite familiar what I was up to. I just had a petit mal and hit my head into the car. Not a grand mal, thank god. I wear a epilepsy badge on all my clothing so they have a clue whats happening.

So I was into almost two days of intensive care with 24/7 care, trying to sleep. Haha. And I have a blue eye, I'm bruised on my left arm and my left hip and my glasses look like they've been terrorized with a very heavy vehicle. Which they have.

I Live. What could be happier than that? I managed to throw up my left arm so the hand was in my forehead so I have all my teeth still and both my eyes works as before. So I don't complain.

I'm just trying to imagine the feeling of terror that must overcome you (or not?) when you actually are privy to the fact that this is going to happen - must be very scary! Glad you're OK.

It's a certain way of anxiety and so on that comes and tells you that you have two choices, lie down or get home for medication. I have cramped a good pair of shoes and ripped the seams out of them, but that was a grand mal. My ex has noticed I went into seisure, and she just dragged me down on the floor from the sofa I was watching TV on.

Two things she has been learning from me that is very important, never EVER try to put something in the mouth. Because if your finger gets locked, it will be bitten off. No matter if it´s one two or three. Doesn't matter if the person is adult or young. Second, Don't mind the drop if you have to pull me down from a surface, Just do it. I had not a bruise after she dragged me from about 35cm drop and my head smashed into the floor. I have dropped from hospital beds into concrete floors, and not had a single bruise.

Since I have these badges, it's easy to get help. Usualy I wake up in the ambulance.

When I had my seizures the hospital tied me to the bed. Afterward when reading about them , I learned that restraining a person is one of the worst things you can do while they were having a seizures. The nurses justified their action because apparently i was walking around punching and kicking people

Yeah, maybe it sucks, but first, why in heck do you miss your meds if you know for pretty certain what's going to happen....I mean, most EPs Do. I had an epiletic girl friend for a couple of years, and she was a fanatic about her medication. Second, why do you drive without your meds. One of these days, you're not going to walk away from it, or you're going to kill a family member. Fate is funny. I only know that Mindy (ex gf) kept a little vial around her neck wherever she was. She didn't use it unless she'd forgotten the Dilanten, but she had it with her if she did. Everything I just said are quotes from her. Last I checked, she's still alive, well, and taking her meds, and she hasn't had a problem, she tells me, for the last 3 years (apparently there's something new...I don't know...I don't keep up. But for heaven sake, woman!

Even with the best intentions in the world, it is easy for us to forget to take our medication sometimes.
