building an adults with autism web page need your ideas!

I'm building a website about autism and adults. I have autism (im 25).......Our fears, our problems, the lack of services for us and the need for awareness that children grow up to be autistic adults. I wanted some feedback on what you would like to see on the web page as far as information, the future for autistic adults, what people could do to help, and/ or if you are a parent with someone with autism what would you want to see for your adult as far as information for parents of autistic adults ect. All idea's are welcomed. After all I want to buld a web site that WE made with OUR thoughts not just one persons. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!

Just a loose idea off the top of my head -- it seems like what you want to build is a resource full of help and hints for adult autists. How about rigging up a wiki for this? It doesn't need to be Wikipedia-style where everyone can edit, but you can set it up so only members can edit (this helps keeping loads of spam out as well!)

definitely information about transition services for when kids leave school & are "old enough to be on their own".

But some of them will never cope on their own. However, for those who can, it would be so helpful to have advocacy services and assistance with finding suitable accommodation and work placements plus assistance with negotiating the maze of obtaining disability payments if necessary.

thats what im working on...something that people can to and wont have to do what i just did for the past 6 months...dig and dig until i found something or someone to help me..or go to every place and beg and plead for help...this way all parents,adults, have to do is look at the website..and even find local doctors that are autism friendly and/or places

transition services is actually a fairly broad term referring to services provided to "disabled adolescents" once they no longer qualify for educational services. services can range from full time employment to full time day program...

I put it on hold for a few weeks it was becoming to much for me..I can't do much for too long with getting a headache..But im still trecking along...I could always use help or ideas!! ! After all Im doing it for all of us.
