My son is smart AND funny.

I told him some people think you can get autism from measles vaccinations. His reply: "As if that's a problem!"
I asked him what the good things about autism are. He replied "There are heaps. The only bad thing is super hearing. I get headaches from that. The girl who sits next to me talks too loud. We could be really good friends, if only she'd quieten down!"

I'm so proud.

How old is he? That's a great start for him...I think we all want our adult children to have that self-confidence, and you've obviously done good if he's a child and already thinks this way...

He is 9.
A year ago we were living in hell - he was so bad it was suggested we put him in an institution. If we hadn't realised he had epilepsy, maybe it would have ended that way.
A year later, on the right meds and teaching program, he is doing fantastically well, and he knows it!
So all desperate parents out there, things DO get better.
