At her four month old appointment Rose walked for the first time! The doctor wanted to see how strong she was, so I was letting her stand ((with my help)), and she started to slowly walk across the table! The doctor was shocked and wanted to know when we taught her that, but we didn't do anything yet!

WOW! I've never heard of that before. It could be a fluke, of course, but still astonishing!

That's the thing, she's done it every time I set her down to stretch her legs. Especially when either me or my husband are cheering her on.

That is something else, lol. I remember my little ones trying to stand very early, leg locking is rather instinctive, but they could never have held that without assistance.

Wow!

My now 9 year old Aspie rolled from his back to his frong for the first time at 2 weeks old.

The silly childhood nurse didn't believe me. When he did it in front of her, she spluttered and said it was "just a reflex".

Rubbish ... it was purposeful movement. His intelligent brain wanted to be able to get out there and explore the world!

Helen

P.S. I used to have to take him for a walk every day. He couldn't work unassisted until he was 15 months, but he could walk holding onto those baby-walkers (not the ones they sit in, the one's that look like miniture shopping trolleys).

He used to walk 2+ kilometres (about 1 mile) from 9 months of age. I thought he was hyperactive til I realised he was Aspie!
