Had appointment with Paed the other day and he said Damien has got adhd (inattentive mainly) as well as autism. Paed also said he may need stimulant medication when he is older and also to keep and eye on Damien's anxiety.

Have started him on Melatonin and omg! His sleeping has been way better :D
He is on 2mg (can increase to 3mg) about 40 minutes before bedtime but has been waking up a bit earlier. He knows to go to the lounge and watch tv or play till someone is up which is great.

I have definately noticed the adhd in him now but I have a best friend with an adhd son so I have had lots of chats with her.

We are now into school holidays and Damien still wants school work  my printer has sure had a good workout! He wants to go on the buses (his fav special interest) so we are going to do that again. It bores me but I love seeing him happy.

I have now got respite care! 30 days a year  My brother wants to do some for me when his (yet to be born) child is a little older.

I can see a light now and I am feeling more confident :) Still have bad days but such is life when dealing with a child like Damien
DON'T lose sense of humour, that is one thing that is really helping me!! !!

This is most awesome.

Might there possibly be a bus tour of some sort, that would allow you to combine more than one of his interests?
