Hi,
Following on from my post awhile back about SAD (winter depression), I have two questions:

1. Does this sound like SAD?... My 8 yr old AS son is about the worst he's been at coping with school in the last month. I've had to collect him early twice in the last couple of weeks, which I've never had to do. He tells me that the main problem is that there is too much time at school in winter, and not enough time at home. He thinks that he is spending longer at school in winter, compared with summer (even though it is exactly the same). He used to have hardly any problems functioning with school work in class, but can hardly concentrate on any of it at the moment. I have booked him in with our GP tomorrow, to see if I can get anywhere with it.

2. If it is SAD, what treatments or products could I put him on to help?

Well coming from northern Canada, its a common occurrence here, I have it and what is recommended, is getting some natural light, which is hard to do here when some places only have a few hours of it, so using artificial light source is the only option, whet is called light therapy, heres a website that has some good info on this. Hope this helps
