Heidi had her first speech therapy session in over 2 months (that is private one-on-one speech therapy as opposed to the weekly group stuff at the early intervention centre).

Anyways after months of banging my head against a wall with stuff and then giving up for 2 months today she just got it.

He / She
Infront / Behind
Same / Different
Fruit / Vegetable

all perfect. I sat there for 99% of the session with my mouth open in surprise and shock.

Maybe she just needed a break.

*Cheers*

That's excellent news. Some of our kind perform well under pressure and some don't.

Odds are Heidi just needed the information to percolate down and actually absorb it.

Bet you're going to spoil her rotten for all this :D

Regards
GM

Yeah!

I look back at my son's progress and it seems like most of the time he simply "gets" things when he is ready to, and all the prodding in the world from me makes zero difference. Not to say we don't need to supply the information - it's not like they figure it out completely on their own - but to say the timing really doesn't seem to be something we have the slightest control over.

I do love those pleasant surprises. Just when you give up, is when they tend to crop up.
