ADHD, Asperger's, ODD, and what else has this kid got?

I can relate to how you feel. My son has asperger's, ADHD, ODD, & OCD. The doc says the ODD and OCD are caused by the asperger's. It will be difficult, but try to be as patient with your son as possible. I have a real hard time in this area with my son becuase I have ADHD. You may have an advantage because your son is only 7. If you can get him some help now, he may not have to stuggle so much like my son, who wasn't diagnosed with asperger's until he was 14. I have learned to not take it personally when Andy doesn't open up to me because he can't help it. Still learning to deal with the other stuff and teach my other kids how to be more tolerant until I can figure out what to do next. All those coexisting disorders may not be a misdiagnosis. I thought that too, until I got a second and third opinion. Just try to be strong for him because kids like yours and mine need at least one solid stable person in their corner. Do not be afraid of your son. It won't help you or him.
