Thank you to all of you wonderful people who have responded to my posts here. I wish you all a very happy new year and lots of good energy and happiness in the future! I have enjoyed a great few days with my AS DD. Being off from school has been wonderful. I have enjoyed watching her on two semi-supervised playdates organized by me and it's been great. I have started reading Atwood's book and it's very enlightening and helpful. I have successfully cut out any urges to yell or try to "change" her. I have been celebrating her obsessions and it's been fun. She wrote a beautiful short story which she wants to enter into a contest (keep your fingers crossed) and Santa brought just the "perfect" games, right up her ally, and fun for the family too. I feel hopeful and just wanted to share good news instead of just griping all the time!
