PC definitely the better platform for anything when its done right. Porting to PC = crap. When done right it can make a splash though like RE 5. I hear it has good controls and works well on PC.

Well, I do own a Wii and a 360, and I enjoy them both very much.

But I truly am looking forward to the day when I can purchase that kick-ass video card I want along with a new monitor for my PC (my current monitor is a tube type that is almost a decade old). Preferably one with a DVI output, so I can also hook it up to my HDTV (which sadly was purchased long before HDMI became a standard on such sets, but at 27", I'd be hard pressed to notice a difference in picture quality).

I don't play any games on the PC these days, but once I get that video card and monitor, I'll be right there. :-)

Mine's more than a decade old (1992, I think?) and rocks the pants off of every other monitor I've ever used before. Slight bit of burn-in on the bottom, but it's barely noticable.

I'm still running a CRT. I'm looking for a cheap 16:10 LCD/TFT monitor so I can save space and take advantage of DVI and have some space to run my laptop in front of my monitor. I just need to find one cheap enough and by a company I've heard of. I'm using a Samtron 76E. It may be 6 years old, but I bought it brand new. I'd like to run higher resolutions as well. 1024x768x32@85 can be a boring and although 1280x1024x32@60 is possible, the refresh rate is maxxed at 60 which for many people on here, too low and very distracting.

I bought my PSP3000 (after some advice before purchasing) I am pretty happy with it. I had to buy a Memory Stick, but I have downloaded all sorts of demos to see if I want to buy the full game or not. I have no intention of having it hacked, as it's brand new but with firmware v5.5 but I had to upgrade to access some other settings.

I don't like the way Xbox users have to pay a subscription on top of their internet access. I hope they get something free in return for their "donations" to Microsoft. I wasn't interested in a full console as I thought it was better to get something I can use for more than gaming.

Sort of like a camera/phone, I had a camera and a phone separately. I used to have a camera/phone but I never copied the pictures off their and it was stolen. Some nice pictures I had use for at a later date.

I do prefer the the consoles that can jump onto your existing internet connection, although setting up a connection via Wi-Fi was tedious, the key too forever to enter, but all works and no extra fees.

Albeit a small screen, it will fit into my pocket, and the use of Memory Stick I can store all sorts and play games by switching easily and quickly.

I do have a full blown PC for serious gaming though when I don't have to travel, but there are some games I would love to play on the PSP that made me want to get it

Well, the thing with cheap LCDs is that you get what you pay for =/ Poor viewing angles and contrast ratios...

I haven't seen one in person, but apparently IPS panels are the closest you can get to CRT, just sucks that they're so expensive.

The other thing I love about my PC (aside from the big blue LEDs) is the graphics... Crysis on max with mods.... take that XBOX!
and when it get's old... buy a new... even more expensive GPU (they just had to release the 5790 just after I bought a GTX 295 didn't they...) As for Wii remotes with PC, I tried one, it's awfull!

I prefer PCs for gaming mainly because I think the controls are far easier. A mouse is way easier to use that an one of those joysticks on a controller. My computer can take just about any game I throw at it. It is a custom build with a Athlon X2 dual core ~2.8 GHz, 3 GB of RAM (looking to add another 2 GB since I have an open slot), a NVIDIA 9800GT (originally an 8600GT, upgraded a few months ago), and a brand new 500 GB hard drive. I run XP on there, but recently added Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a second hard drive for DX 10/11. It runs CoD4, CoDWaW, MW2, Far Cry 2, Company of Heroes, and Crysis and max settings (Crysis has to be reduced slightly for DX 10 in Windows 7).

Okay, I've seen one in person now. My "new" laptop has it (or something similar) and it looks fantastic 8O

I hate blue LEDs. They hurt my eyes to look at, and just the one little one on my tower case is bright enough to make shadow puppets with on my bedroom wall...I had to cover it up to be able to sleep at night :x

I was going to swap it, but it's glued in there pretty good =(

that will fail. Either that, or PC developers will switch to Mac.
