This is the best I can describe it, it has that same feel.

If you have it, do you agree?

If you don't, if you liked diablo 2 (or one... but more like two.) you will love this game.

It is extremely similar in that there are a few different(4) classes that are all identical aesthetically, but within these classes are skill trees and within the skill trees are different ways to manage upgrades because there are 2 skills per tier, and three main trees total.

The difference being that it plays as an fps....

Also, each class has a very unique main skill, e.g. soldier can summon a turret, siren can become invisible and fast, tank can go berserk and use fists and ignore pain and the hunter class has a trained pet... bird-thing.

Buuuuuuut, you can either focus on their unique ability or go a different route and use their special ability as just an extra little perk. Kind of like the necromancer in diablo 2, the obvious path is learning to summon minions but you could focus on curses and have weak minions as a little bit extra.

This one is on a long list of must-gets for me. But number one on my list is Dragon Age: Origins. Or DragonAge. However, it is, one word or two.

Played it today and isn't that bad.

Pros

*Graphics are cartoony like 'Team Fortress2',
*Very easy interface.
*4 characters (3 male, 1 female), each with their special talents.. so pick wisely.
*The game works single-player or 'drop-in-drop-out coop' which allows 4 players to be in one game.
*The game includes LAN play as well.
*As well as being a FPS game where you've got to aim and shoot, every kill gets you xp along with challenges you complete along your road to the vault (plot since start).
*Use talents after lvl5, you can respec any time at terminals; which also lets you rename your character and change colours.
*Shops are synced, you see what everybody sees. So deals can be seen or stole infront of you.
*Revive by killing an opponent, getting revived Left4Dead/GearsOfWar style or resurrect with loss of cash.
*Item lvl system - white, green, blue, purple, orange. Just like WoW or Diablo2. (in order of weakest to best)

Cons

There were a few things about the game that I did find annoying though..
*Claptrap "Look at me I'm dancing" gets tiring quite fast.
*Voice chat is enabled when mic is plugged in; no settings to adjust it or turn it off, so I was nearly deafened by the echo when friends joined. - We had to turn off teamspeak, luckily for us the voice-chat stopped working after an hour of playing.
*No loot sharing system; meaning first come, first serve. Meaning a player could run in and grab everything and there is nothing nobody could do about it.
*Duel by melee. Me and my mates had things on us so we both slapped one another putting ourselves in combat with one another. Our weapons injured both of us; leading to death.

One of the devs said they were waiting for community feedback on things like the loot system.

I've found that loot stealing isn't a problem for me because money almost grows on trees and there are only certain guns you would want as a certain class, so people always get what they want. But the dev talked about implimenting a loot system if there was enough call for it.

Check out Torchlight. It's more like Diablo. Actually it's made by the same people that made Diablo 1, 2.

Torchlight is cool. Simple but effective visuals (I love the way the dungeons are full of bridges and chasms and water and so on), the interface is reasonable and the character development system is open-ended and quite sinister. I realised when I hit level ten or so of the dungeon that my alchemist character was walking around murdering people with plague, dressed like a serpent and commanding a horde of zombies, that they weren't kidding about the "corrupting influence of Ember!"

I'm getting it for Christmas... it looks cool (LOADS OF GUNS!! !!) But I though diablo 2 was OK, but very repetitive very repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitivevery repetitive... though this has better graphics, and is an FPS so I will like it more...

My opinion: don't get it. Its essentially a console port with horrible online. Its fun at first but things get old fast. Random online is horrible as there is already hacked weapons with ridiculous stats and the game is far too easy. Wait till it comes out as a $30 dollar deal on steam (with the lame ass DLC).

It stinks like most console games, and all the signs are there - Mouse skips when moved finely, the way the sprint function works, and the gameplay in general.
Still, it's kind of interesting to play with a friend, but for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would play it alone. Also, good work on the microphone support there, dumbasses. They couldn't program something like keying your microphone with a button. I hate consoles so much, and the PC version of borderlands is a good example of why.

By the way, Torchlight is not made by the same guys who made Diablo 1 and 2. Diablo 1/2 were produced by Blizzard, Torchlight was produced by Runic Games.

Surprised to see the hate on here. I got the game for Christmas, and I've been enjoying it a lot. Has a nice art style, and it's surprisingly addicting. Loot system could be a wee bit better, but it's still a fine game all the same.
