I guess I might also include the Geth from Mass Effect, they just seemed very interesting to me, their designs look cool, and their information intrigued me. I was even hapier to discover that they are not all as bad as first thougt, and I kind of sympathise a lot with them.

In one of Shepard's earlier discussions with Tali, if you ask about the history of the Geth, eventually you reach the point where the main difference between Paragon and Renegade answers is how roughly you point out to Tali that the quarians were asking for it, and the geth were just trying to defend themselves.

That's why the schism between geth and heretics in ME2 came as less of a surprise than one might think - the geth didn't start out trying to eliminate all other life, and excepting the influence of the Old Machines there was nothing to change that. The only part that surprised me was that not all the geth had made the same decision.

Seriously. Especially when they are compelling

And those videos make me want to try that game myself! 8O :D

Of the Duke Nukem mods, someone had made a game that, instead of playing Duke himself, you play as one of his enemies the PigCops. I thought that idea was cool, though I wasn't too keen on the story (He gets revenge on Duke for killing off all the aliens, by going on a killing spree through the Earth Defense Force.) Interesting idea, but not my cup of tea.

If I made a game where you played as that enemy, I would like to do mine this way: I would have it where you visit differant locations, because your superior officer wants you to track down certain people and eliminate any resistance along the way. You'd be fighting, but you'd be doing actual police stuff too, like arresting people and following leads. Some of the bosses would be resistance leaders, and a few gang bosses. Enemies would be resistance followers and gang members, along with the occasional rabid dog. The only thing is, you would be prohibited from killing any women (the aliens need them.) 8)

Now with Gearbox rumoured to be developing Duke Nukem Forever, I can speculate a bit more here about these creatures:
It appears that not only are the aliens mutating the police forces of the cities, but they are mutating the Earth Defence Force (A para-military group?). They may even now be mutating the military forces. All of these new mutants are meant to be a policing force against human resistance, maybe not actively killing people (except for human males), but to still keep law and order though enforcing alien rule.
But I won't know until I get to play that game

I tried so many times to beat Jimmy (White), the toughest opponent from Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker on the Amiga. If you didn't pot a ball with your first shot, he would simply make a break of 100+ and beat you every time. I did one time manage a break of about 55 with my first visit to the table, but I still lost the game (or frame as they call it in snooker).

Psycho Mantis is my hero. His psychology is fascinating and comparable in ways to my own. I identify with him however odd that might seem. I also occasionally wear gas masks. I have two. One is a Soviet-era mask from the Warsaw Pact. Another is from Finland.

I wish I could upload pics...

I really liked Metaknight from Kirby as a kid. I even had him as a character in my imaginary wrestling federation.

I'm also a huge fan of Kefka from Final Fantasy VI. Best video game villain ever, IMO.

Dr. Breen from Half Life 2.
Also, Bullsquid and other xen aliens (from Half Life), I find the design of their anatomy interesting.

I love to hate the Lumen Sage from Bayonetta. He really was so smug during his battle with her and I laughed so hard when she finally puts him down with her lipstick as the bullet and you having to guide into his skull. Completely over the top and very funny and satisfying no longer having to hear his plum british voice and ever so smug way of thinking he's above everyone else including her.

Andrew Ryan is quite a fascinating Big Bad. He's actually sympathetic near the end, especially when it turns out he wasn't the only bad guy, and only the LESSER evil. I don't feel like saying anything beyond that, I don't want to spoil it (I spoiled myself already, and I know how bad it feels).

A man chooses, a slave obeys... A MAN CHOOSES, A SLAVE OBEYS!!

Also, the Big Daddies in Bioshock are pretty badass. It's fun when you hypnotize them, and they follow you around. It usually backfires when they stop following you and go back to normal, and then they accidently touch a fire you started, and they kill you. So I stopped using them. Also, they are formidable enemies, as all the other enemies are just splicers and turrets. These big guys rarely go down without a fight, and it's extremely satisfying when you bring them down.

Some Ace Attorney villains, but I'd spoil the game if I'd say anything about them. The twists and their reveal as the brains behind the murder is always shocking. Anyway, Godot from Trails & Tribulations is one of the coolest video game characters ever, IMO, and he's the antagonist, being the prosecutor and all.

Many Touhou bosses, who end up being more popular than the main, or player characters.

Knuckles from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, even though he's one of the main characters in Sonic & Knuckles, he's the enemy in Sonic's path through most of the game, so he counts. Shadow's just a Mary Sue, Knuckles is the real badass anti-hero of the Sonic series (or was).

Shao Kahn from Mortal Kombat, who constantly taunts you and uses his cheap ass tactics to beat you, every single time.

Not enemies as such, though I recently played Super Paper Mario from start to finish and kinda got obsessed with Tippi for some reason.

I was obsessed with various enemies that had a mysterious and sometimes depressive aura around them.
For example, that Nessie-like creature in Super Mario 64 was my obsession because it looked mysterious and sad. In the DS version of Super Mario however, it was redisigned and it looks very ridiculous. :(

I'm a bit obsessed with Legion from the Castlevania games. Basically, this tentacle thingy surrounded by a sphere of claylike, featureless bodies, that it shrugs off to attack you. The pure creepiness, how interesting the fight was, it was amazing. I even came up with an origin story for a variant. Basically, someone like me, who longed for social competence, except he found himself completely unable to accomplish it. He fell further and further into misanthropy, before he was killed by the last people he had any hope for. His soul was used by Dracula to create Legion, which would suck the souls out of people, leaving them completely featureless, and bringing them closer to himself to feel the last of their warmth. I kinda liked the idea, but never really fleshed it out more past this.
