Am I the only one who found Haunting Ground/Demento to be terrifying?

I don't know if I'd say "scary", but there was a point about halfway through the game where I totally wussed out and turned on the censoring option

Maybe someday I'll have to give it another go, uncensored.

The closest to being "scared" would have to be Dead Space 2. Alas, I love being scared crapless.

Basically what game do you find the scariest horror game.

I don't scare easily at all, but Silent Hill 2 and Project Zero will be remembered forever as games that scared the hell out of me.

I just recently watched a gameplay of Mad father, where a little girl named Aya has a mad scientist for a father who does shady experiments on living people and animals, and then some weird curse causes the scientist's victims to come back as zombies and ghosts and seek revenge on him, including Aya's mother who *supposedly* died of illness. Not all the undead beings are hostile though and even help Aya. :) There were three endings, 2 bad ones and a good one, but even the good or true ending had a shocking twist at the end. Of course, I had to watch the game late at night so I would be haunted in my dreams by creepy dolls and chain saws. Although the graphics and Kawaii-looking characters were enough like Harvest Moon to keep it from getting too scary, just shockingly disturbing and gory.

Even though I'm a huge horror fan, I don't get scared by games (or movies, for that matter) too easily. But I'll say some of the scariest I've played are Dead Space 3: Awakened, Silent Hill: Origins, Silent Hill 2 (not too scary when I first played it, but my friend helped me realize just how creepy it is), Fatal Frame, and the flash game Exmortis. Slender, if you ask me, is scary for a while, but then it gets pretty annoying.

Windows Vista! Horrifying!

Not sure about when I was younger as I honestly don't remember, but none of these modern horror games or movies(or even older ones) seem to scare me.
I was watching 2 people play MP on one on youtube, commenters were saying how they watched it too late and such(guessing they were scared of it)..I pretty much just found it quite funny.

Only games I have played that would be considered a horror game are fear 1 and 2.

The other night I played One Chance. I guess this couldn't count as a horror game but it is certainly a real downer where even the best ending is very sad, and the thought of a cancer cure that ends up killing every living thing in the world is pretty creepy.

Wasn't that what happened in the Will Smith version of I Am Legend?

Haunting Ground and Clock Tower 3. Clock Tower 3 was especially so, since your character had little chance of defending herself, and you had to resort to running a lot.

I tried to play SCP: Containment Breach but I simply couldn't. I didn't see the point of essentially acknowledging that my life was in danger at every moment of every second of that game just to try and beat it.

I played Silent Hill 4 once... I vowed never again to play another Silent Hill game for as long as I lived.
