Just what the subject line says. I got a new Xbox360! XD
I'm VERY excited.
I already got Arkham Asylum - I'm 57% through after 2 days so... looking for the next one. Though there are still the challenges. Just tried 5% of those... Gosh i love this game. (:

So... Bioshock is on my list to try out. I've also heard Dragon Age is great.

I like shooters if they have a good plot - plus I know the 360's known for them. Love strict action games. Horror games even. I'm pretty much up to try anything that's good.

Anyone have any other suggestions for the proud new owner of an Xbox 360?

I'm so excited! 'Tis the first new console I've had for a while. 8D

Congratulations on your purchase! You made a good choice... although I don't have an XBox 360 myself, I know it's great!! XD
I would recommend you try Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4; from what I've seen they look like excellent, well-detailed FPSs.
If that doesn't tickle your fancy, Viva Pinata is also a great buy! ;)

Left 4 Dead is both a FPS and a horror game (kind of) so you should probably try that out. It's has a decent enough multiplayer and most people enjoy it (I just find it irritating when there's a lack of teamwork, seriously the bots are better than some people >=U ). Also there is sequel which I presume is just like it.

L4D2 is much better than the original, IMO. I'd go for it over the original.

red faction guerilla. epic campaign, fun multiplayer, amazing destruction engine.
the difficulty is punishing though, so u wont lose any man points if you have to play through on easy.

"Bionic Commando" is a great 3rd person shooter. I own it for my my PS3, and it's also for Xbox360.

u kidding me, bionic commando is lame! what kind of stupid plot involves a woman who commits suicide so that her husband could run around pretending to be spiderman! also, dull dull dull multiplayer. BIG EXPLOSIONS FTW!

Congrats, I don't know much about the 360, but I've heard it's good for shooting games. I hope you enjoy it!

Bionic Commando has been around for over twenty years, so his abilties similar to Spiderman are obviously nothing new. A modern remake of the old NES game came out before the new one called "Bionic Commando: Rearmed" to show younger PS3/Xbox360 owners what the series is like.

If you like GTA-style/3rd person shooter games, Saints Row 2 is a MUST HAVE. Lots for fun and easy to play, create your own character (both male and female), lots of activities and diversions, car customization, etc.

You might want to check out Grand Theft Auto IV as well, because story and characters are one of its strong points, but I don't think it's as fun as Saints Row 2, but everything is a lot more polished and smooth, and I heard good things about the DLC, unlike Saints Row 2.

Just my 2 cents.

venger.
my problem with it isnt that his arm is similar to spiderman, but that HIS WIFE COMMITED SUICIDE TO GIVE THE POWER! she died so he could play at being a superhero. wtf.

You might want to also get some of the deals of good games, for Instance I think you can get both Bioshock and Oblivion for a good price in one package. Or some of the game of the year additions which include bonus material that can save from having to download extra costing content.

From the sound of it you might like 'The Darkness', it first starts as a generall shooter, but after a while it changes from just a mob war to a monster creeping in the dark being a horror. The big difference to simular games is that you are the horror and gain the powers among sending out demons and stabing others with tenticles. It also manages to have a great story and deliver it in a way few FPS's can, also if you are familiar with Witchblade , this is set in the same world.

Also if you are a fan of being able to sneak through the dark, picking off enemies aswell as use of knife and guns then I might also recomend 'The chronicles of Ridick, made by the same company as The Darkness. The 360 released an upadated version of Escape from butcher bay, that was prevously on the Xbox, whith another story called the dark athena. it has praised that it still compets very well, and if you havent played the first one or enjoyed the movies, can be extra good choice. The game includes a good story and an aray of characters that Ridick comes across as he tries to make his way to freedom.

You mentioned you like the sound of 'Dragon Age', I am playing that now and I am enjoying it, a simulary good game is 'Mass Effect' which is also made by Bioware, that is well known for making good RPG's. And really do a good job at allowing players choice have an influence on how it is played. Infact I think Mass Effects 2 is schedueled soon and will also allow carrying character's stats from the first game to the second.

Congradulations on getting your 360! I remember how happy I was when I got mine. :D

One game I would seriously tell you to get would be Fallout 3. It's a First Person RPG where you can pretty much do whatever you want and you get guns and melee weapons. Also it's a set in an aypocolyptic 1950's setting. 8)
