Every time I think that I'm starting to get a life, some sort of pokemon thing will come out and I'll obsess about it. I want HeartGold sooooooo badly now! And I'm playing Pokemon Pearl again because I just want to play some sort of pokemon :P

When I was 7-10 I was seriously obsessed with pokemon, then I calmed down about everything but the games. The games are still awesome :)
I would still watch the show if it was EVER on!

How can my poor Bidoof still attack if they're getting squeezed to death by an Onix?

" - Sir, we are surrounded!
- Excellent! We can attack in any direction!"

Bidoof got fangs. Fangs got some bite. Onix got some problems. <_<

I never thought I'd love Pokemon as much as I do now. Props to my girlfriend and her insistence I dive into this series. Two years, 500+ hours of gameplay later...

Nintendo are masters of the Potato Chip game addiction method. An RPG with 493 characters? Clear my freaking schedule!

Hearing about Platinum is what pulled me back in last March (a year ago). Since then, I've been obsessed with the games again. In fact, I am currently looking up Pokémon breeding chains instead of studying for my econ test in nine hours.

I had on obession with Pokemon for a long time now. I played every Pokemon game ever made. I still have some Pokemon cards, and toys when I used to collect them. I was once a Pokemon Gym Leader at Pokemon League at Toysrus. Good thing Satoshi Tajiri has Asperger's and knows how to keep our obessions going on.

I've loved pokemon since Pokemon Yellow came out! My parents originally brought my sister Pokemon Yellow but instead I spent most of my time on it and I still have it now! I'm disappointed however - I discovered that the internal battery has run dry on my Pokemon Gold, but thankfully I'm getting Pokemon Heart Gold this week! I have over 1000 pokemon cards, pokemon movies, a game from each generation, posters, books, etc... (I own: Yellow, Red, Blue, Gold, Crystal, Sapphire, Leafgreen, Pearl, Platinum, Pinball and I used to have pokemon TCG on GB) On Pokemon Pearl and Platinum, I am learning to chain pokemon using the pokeradar in an attempt to actually catch my first shiny pokemon - apart from Red Gyarados. To this day, I am still obsessed about pokemon!

Also, I didn't know that Satoshi Tajiri had Aspergers!

I didn't even know who the creator's name was :P I play the games a lot, and obsess when there's a new one, but I don't know much about events and the people who created it.
My mom said that I can get HG if I get caught up in school!

I've gotten a urge to play Pokemon as well. Last time I played I was 14-15, but last couple of days I have wanted to get a DS and game it up, hand-held style.

You could also download an emulator if you don't have access to a DS (like me). I feel bad looking around the Internet for HG/SS ROMs (found some, but they're just a black screen after Professor Oak tells me my adventure awaits... such a tease), but I would buy the games if I had a DS.

I've had emulators before but it's just not the same. When I was little I used to come home from school in the afternoon park my butt on the living room couch in one of it's corners and play Pokemon for hours. It's not just the game but the feeling of the hand-held console. I think it's a special feeling and a feeling I miss when it comes to gaming. Now days I play only on my computer and my Game Boy frenzy took a halt at Game Boy Advanced (I have all GB's up to BGA). I've played Pokemon for the big consoles and they can just not compare to the hand-held sensation of Pokemon gaming.

Conclusion, I need to get the new DS-3D (donno it's real name, just heard about it) because my birthday is coming up 7th of April.

Will be fun to see what has changed since I was 16. I hope they are still good.

- Fun fact -
Satoshi Tajiri as many of you know has Aspergers. As a child he used to spend a lot of time in nature areas around his house. There he would collect insects and study them since he had the wish to become a entomologist (scientific study of insects) when he grew up. His place of joy was after a time taken away from him as urbanization spread through the land and the area where he used to go and look for insects was paved over. He was saddened by this but he would always remember it as one of his happiest times as a child and planned to share his interest with the world and share the joy he had felt when he was hunting insects.
His nickname as a child, which he had gotten from the other kids was Dr. Bug.
