.... in any video game you have ever played?

I would have to say the Black Mantle from Pocky and Rocky.

"Sigma" which is the last boss in the Mega Man X games is pretty tough especially in X1, X3, X4, and X7.

The hardest boss? thats tougth one... I'm not sure.

Sweet tooth boss from twisted metal 4
or
Primevil boss from twisted metal 3
or
any of the boss's from dragonquest IX.

I know there is a much stronger boss from a different game... but I can't remember it.

I had the hardest time with bosses in the game Odin Sphere.

Demon's Souls bosses were hard on the first time around.

i gonna have to say bowser from mario 64, i beat him once after many deaths, couldn't do it again after that.

the final boss of sonic 3, i didn't do this one alone, my bro was playing as tails. it was my job to dodge the attacks which included the giant lazer beam, it took me many failed attempts before i could time the lazer jump just right. my bros job was to attack eggman as often as he could, let me tell you he missed a ton of attacks.

1st phase was no problem, it was second phase where it got nasty.

andross in starfox adventures, alot of people say this was easy i say bull, i can't remember how many days or weeks or maybe it was months that i tried and failed.

riku replica 4th fight on chain of memories gba version, i got so fed up i threw the game aside for several years and forgot why i had put it down when i picked it back up.

kesseler on infamous, if i wasn't fueled by rage and adrenaline i think he would have been harder.

final boss of portal 2, only because i had no idea where to stick the cores in him first time around. didn't help in the least that the whole part before that had me scared s**tless and i was having a hard time thinking clearly. when a boss can use an entire building [that you are walking around in] to kill you it gets nerve racking.

if we are counting bosses that we are stuck on as well, then the final boss of drakengard if i was allowed to fight on the dragon like i could in every other part of this game, i would have had no problem. but it's a damn reaction\memory game, [i still think wtf!! !] i've been stuck on him for 8 years i think now, i haven't even gone back and tried to beat it since i got stuck. not even codes and cheats help here.

Ace Hardlight, from Ratchet: Deadlocked.

I don't know why, but he's just so hard to beat.

Not sure who I would choose, but out of pure frustration I have to mention Alpha-152 from DOA4. Just as you find yourself with a good strategy with a character, you face the boss which seems to have a strategy to beat what you use so far, and can learn new ones you try quickly, can teliport around the screen, and one combo can do about 70% damage.

That effing boost guardian in Metroid Prime 2 on Hard Mode... Damaged by the air itself constantly AND HE DOES A THOUSAND EFFING DAMAGE per hit?! Not to mention the super speed and invincible while attacking. The freaking last boss is easier to kill than him. Every boss in the game minus him combined is easier to kill than him. God.

To this day I use my boost ball in that game with honour because I managed to kill that bastard.

In the first Metroid Prime the "Omega Pirate" boss was something else on hard difficulty mode. I got a perfect 100% game on hard difficulty by the way.

I found that one hard the first time around for both normal and hard. I wasn't using super missiles for some reason. The hardest boss for me every time is Thardus. I've beaten that game on hard and normal a thousand times over. Never gotten 100% though.
