Woot woot! I bought a box of M10 boosters at last night's launch event and so far, I've only opened about 8 - 10 of the packs but I've already pulled 3 planeswalkers and a dual land. Those, along with the promo foil I got have already nearly paid for itself value wise.

Sweet! Finished opening the rest of the packs and pulled a 4th planeswalker. I got them all except for Chandra out of that box. I also got a set of the new dual lands.

Played at the actual release tournaments yesterday. Didn't win anything in the sealed deck tournament, but I came in 4th in a 12 player draft. The second pack I opened, I pulled a foil Lilianna Vess planeswalker. That was awesome and it won a number of games for me. :)

The third ability for that planeswalker is incredible.

Speaking of planeswalkers, how exactly do they work in the game? Are they sort of like a creature except they can be targeted like a player? I know that you put loyalty counters on them.

Planeswalkers aren't creatures, anything that specifically effects creatures doesn't apply to them. To deal with them, they can be attacked (like players), or damage can be redirected from your opponent to thier planeswalker. (ie: I lightning bolt you, & choose to redirect the 3 damage to your planeswalker).

For additional information on planeswalkers, check the wizards website. When they first came out, there was a big article discussing everything you'd ever want to know about them.

O.K., I'll check it out.

Another question...

Suppose I cast pariah on one of my opponents creatures and then he attacks me. He declares his attackers and I declare no blockers (with the intention of letting all the damage through so it goes onto his creature). He then cast a spell that destroys his own creature (the one with pariah on it). Does all his attack damage now go onto me since I had declared no blockers?

For those interested, Ive started a new topic about magic deck designs. Ive been playing the game since 5th Ed and Mirage, so hopefully that lends me some level of expertise. :D So bring an idea, and we'll look into making it a reality.
