My fav game Prince of Persia will come out in about a year. Don't know what to expect, but it looks as if the game is very far from the original Sands of Time trilogy.

But the sands of time trilogy isn't the original prince of persia.

It would make more sense to me if the movie was about some guy running around a set of breakable blue platforms and getting spiked over and over again - and having to start again.

oh wow, that picture takes me back^

Movie:
Digital Devil Saga (perhaps a bit different from the game, 'cause it'd mostly just be people running through dungeons/mazes getting 3094023958789583694368946893 surprise attacks and in the game the lead character is a mute), 'cause the game is awesome and I like the story (so far as I haven't finished it yet).

I was going to say Devil May Cry, but there's already going to be a movie about that XD

Cartoon:
Persona 3
the game itself has an interesting story, with cartoon (or..I'm sorry, anime) clips to further the story etc.
So a full cartoon wouldn't be such a bad idea I think.

I want to see

LucasArts: THE DIG

Wow.. that was a great game. The storyline was fascinating.

Also LOOM and Day of the Tentacle/Manic Mansion

Gah! How could I've forgotten about The Dig. I remember playing that game many moons ago, and I do agree that it would make for a great film.

And speaking of Lucasarts games being good for potential movies, you forgot about Full Throttle. That would make for a great flick as well.

Yes, you're right the SoT isn't the original PoP. And I know what you mean about him being spiked over and over again. However the movie is titled the sands of time and is supposed to have taken it's inspiration from the trilogy. However it seems as if, apart from the Prince, there are no obvious links between it and SoT platform game released in 2003.

Assuming that they were faithful and handled by a TALENTED director who was passionate about the material (unlike just about any video game adaptation except Silent Hill, the only faithful one and the only GOOD one):

American McGee's Alice
Planescape: Torment
Grim Fandango
Thief: The Dark Project
Monkey Island
Psychonauts
Vampire: The Masquerade
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
The Longest Journey
Starcraft
Arcanum
Max Payne (since I'm pretending that atrocious film never happened)
God of War
Half-Life
Deus Ex
The Sims (yes, really!)
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Diablo
BloodRayne (one that actually had to do with the freaking game and had a big budget)

Also have to agree about LOOM and The Dig!

I didn't think it was too bad. Hitman was really horrible, for me.

Sabbra the one you posted is fan made, so it does look a bit odd, but with some modifications, it could work o.O .

The trailer does look quite cheesy, but people who've actually seen the movie had nothing but good things to say about it. I'm not the biggest fan of Ocarina of Time, but I would definitely watch it (especially since it's free).

Plus I can only imagine how awful a Hollywood produced version would be :x I still can't believe John Woo (who stated in the Paycheck featurette that he hates sci-fi) was slated to direct a Metroid movie :x :x :x

Ridley Scott would be ideal to direct a Quake movie (involving the Strogg war.) He's done a good job with gritty sci-fi and war movies.

Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy) would be the ideal director for a movie based on NecroVision, since that game is a weird combination of war, fantasy, and horror. For the same reasons, he might also be a good choice for a Wolfenstein movie.

For Medal of Honor, they should stick with Steven Spielberg.
