The end boss was too step-oriented. I hate it when the final boss is a basic pattern rather than an actual direct fight. Other than that, I'm a huge Batman nerd and loved the game.

It isn't new... But I love the Game! Combat was perfect, Story was Perfect, Exploration was perfect, Voice Acting was perfect... It got a little repetitive at times but it was nothing Game Killing. Absolutely love the game.

There's no exploration in this game. It is more linear than a train ride.

I didn't mean Exploration as in real exploring... I didn't know what word to use... I meant how perfect the combat felt and how the actually moving around felt just as good without any real change in gameplay. like just the perfect flow between moving and combat.

@Xenu: i can gladly say that arkham asylum is my favorite interpretation of batman. it feels like a mixture of my two other favorite batman interpretations: TAS and the Nolan films.

Just a question though... Why does it feel like the Nolan films to you? Just wondering because IMO it just feels like a more Mature version of TAS.

it has the darkness, joker is scary and insane, batman can fight, the scarecrow is nuts, and the gargoyle parts remind me of this scene in batman begins, just the POV is of batman, not the goons:

exactly. TAS is a little kid-friendly, it didn't go all the way, while nolan's films are a little unfathful, trying to make batman realistic. this game is like the comics, only 10 times cooler

I also liked the game, I had been a fan of Batman when I was a kid, but as time had got on it began to wade on me, and the game kind made me get very into it. Firstly it did a good job at makeing the universe feel expansive, like you would travel around and the Riddlers riddles would point out things to do with other villains.

It also felt like a good job at makeing you feel like Batman, you had assess where enemies are and figure out a strategy to take them down.

Oh yeah...remembered the other part I didn't like: the Killer Croc part. The whole "let's make the player have to walk really really slowly" thing is a stupid mechanic and really adds nothing since you still end up having Croc pop up on you anyways.

The game was a masterpiece, however Arkham Asylum 2 should have more villains in it and more challenging boss fights and a tweaked combat system besides that it was a perfect game.

Actually walking slowly was not the only method, I mostly used the Zip line as it was quicker and I didn't have to touch the ground as much, the only issue was haveing fast enough reflexes to drop when needed and switch to the batterang, which didn't take too long to get the hang of. I loved that zip line, definetly one of my favourite gadgets.

Also anyone else freak out when their game sudenlly froze up and then restarted, was a pretty well done part I think.
