Here is The Catacombs from Turok:

While playing the level, it's dark and scary, always freaks me out. BTW, Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter is one of the best videogames ever.

Here is a video of playing through the level:

Why can't they make videogames like this anymore?

Super Metroid Title Screen Theme. Also, Majora's Incarnation and Ikana Valley, both from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Speaking of Majora's Mask, there is also the Inverted Song of Healing:

You shouldn't have done that.

Defcon's background soundtrack is the creepiest ive ever heard because the game has a sound that plays at random intervals over the soundtrack... and that sound is that of a young woman sobbing and choking/coughing.

Considering the game is about nuclear war and the background music is always suspensful... its really creepy to get 'the cough/cry' over it.

Below is a remix someone made... the game doesn't play the cough/cry over and over or so loudly over the music as in this video.

A lot of the music from the Legacy of Kain series is kind of creepy. In my opinion, some of the best music in video game history.

Much of the music from the now quite old, h-manga-style PC game Divi-Dead. The music is made to attempt to get to your psyche. The game's dark story was quite different, too, with many different endings... unfortunately only ever saw two of them.

The music wasn't really particularly scary, though... just disturbing, like much of the game itself.

Despite this, this game also has one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard.

The intro to the game:

EDIT: I don't get why the hell my YouTube links never end up looking like everyone else's. What am I doing differently? Seems like nothing at all, to me. So frustrating. -_-;

Okay this one freaked me out because you hear it when you battle the first Chaser enemy in the game. I played this at least 7 years ago and those Chasers are STILL the scariest enemies I have ever seen in a game. Personally any kind of monster with a human face scares the hell out of me. Gives me chills just thinking about them. This is actually a cutscene of the Chasers (and a Chaser leader) from a little later on in the game.

I found shivers and shivers 2 music scary. When I first played it I woke up in the middle of the night, and I could not get the music out of my head.

You shouldn't have done that.

Also from majora's mask, the clock town music on the 3rd day. Not really "scary", but definitely creepy. Man, that game is awesome. It HAS to come out on 3ds. If it does, I might actually shell out the moolah for the darn thing.

Pyramid Head's theme from Silent Hill 2 gives me the shivers. It is only 2 minutes into the music that it really starts to bother you. Pyramid Head is so demented that I wish the creators of the game never developed him.

There's also "Undercity", from Vagrant Story:

"Return of the Evil Mist", from Final Fantasy IX, is another disturbing song:

And speaking of Final Fantasy world map themes, how could I forget the most chilling song in the series, "The Great Northern Cave"?

Another great song deserving of mention is the "Lower Norfair" theme, from Super Metroid. It was remixed as the "Magmoor Caverns" theme in Metroid Prime. Here is a medley of the two (nightmare-inducing) versions:

Shivers and shivers 2 harvest of souls was both creepy and scary: The theater, Strange inventions, mans inhumanity to man, the funeral rights room, Professor Windolnaught's room, subterranean maze and entrance, hidden maze 2, fortune teller room, puzzle room, secret passage to the main hall, also some of the Ixupi's themes (Shivers). The barber shop, the warehouse, Devils canyon, Bert's trailer, the mine, and the cemetery (Shivers 2)
