Trying to get the platinum trophy for all of my PS3 games.

Playing through Star Ocean: The Last Hope at the moment. The story and characters are horrendously bad. It just keeps getting worse. I can't wait to see what it becomes towards the end.

Since it's going to take like hundreds of hours to platinum (assuming I even want to after the story is done..) I break it up with other games. At the moment those are Wipeout HD, Outland and Prince of Persia. Wipeout is HARD. Don't know if I'm going to be able to beat it.

Agreed. I loved SO1, SO2, and tolerated SO3, but SO4 grinds my gears for many reasons, especially the characters (ugh, Lymle :( ).

I don't even remember if I finished it or not. Likely not. But I did get like 25 or so hours in and wanted that time back. :P

I mostly have been playing PSX games since I don't have my PS3 back yet.

Lol I can't believe the main guy keeps recruiting all these ret*d characters. Lymle, Meracle and Serah all act like they have the intelligence of a six year old. Do you know of any good jrpgs for the PS3? Only one's I've seen so far are Final Fantasy XIII, Star Ocean and White Knight Chronicles. All of them are pretty bad story and character-wise.

Off the top of my head, Demon's Souls (action RPG, it's really hard), Valkyria Chronicles (strategy RPG with semi-real-time battles), Eternal Sonata, Tales of Vesperia, and Tales of Xillia, both of which (the 2 Tales games I mean) are Japan-only. If you have a 360 you can get ToV for it though.

I've heard good things about DeathSpank but have never played it.

On PSN they have begun to put PS2 games up; they have a side-scrolling action RPG called Odin Sphere that you may like.

I was looking more for turn based rpgs like FFXIII, though I guess even Star Ocean is technically an action rpg. There's plenty of action/strategy rpgs out there. I'll have a look at what you've recommended, though I doubt I'll get around to them til I finish most of my current games (could be a year).

Just finished COD Black Ops campaign. I'm now back to playing Dante's Inferno. Also playing StarFox 64-3D.

Oh, I apologize.

The only other turn-based ones I can think of are Cross Edge and Enchanted Arms. I'd say Cross Edge is decent, and Enchanted Arms is mediocre. Both are really cheap to buy though.

Disgaea 3 and 4 are good strategy RPGs.

"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow" also copies the gameplay mechanics of those games very closely. It has better graphics and is a better game overall in my opinion too. I recently got the PSN platinum trophy for it by the way.

It's funny how games of this type have lots of satanic themes in them.
