I play it, just not really as often as I did before. Too bothersome on my laptop to run it.

I somehow got to platinum by doing nothing, I'm serious

after release I had some fun with it and ended up in gold, I think it might have been appropriate to my skill level, maybe even a bit high.
but then I got bored with trying to break terran turtles and lost interest, so then in season 2 I did one placement game, lost to a noob, and got placed in diamond. (WTF?)
season 3 same story, one placement game, lost in a way that would make a chicken laugh and got promoted to platinum.. so I expect It'll be master next.

Are you sure? That's not supposed to happen. You're supposed to drop a few levels when you lose to someone who has been placed in a lower skill than you, or at least it's supposed to promote them.

Its possible. If he played very few games, his MMR is calculated of a couple results and thus the system can`t esimate his skill level. Happened to my friend, he got gold in season 4 but is back to silver already.

Kerrigan vs Nova . . . I doubt any world those two fight on would survive. Two huntresses . . . both psionic . . . both heading armies. An evil Ripley vs the Hive Queen (Aliens reference). Will be a hell of an act.

That aside, I've mostly been playing the campaign and challenges (trying to get cheevos for different photos). I dont really care for the multiplay since I've only encountered "Zerg" strategies. Been quite annoying . . . that, and I have a defensive mindset. Granted, guess it'll just take practice.

What race did you play? Starcraft 2 is mainly an online game :)

He said the campaign and challenges. That is the single player portion of Starcraft 2 and it's not necessarily on-line, unless you're wanting to get the achievements.
