Minecraft help for my 10yo daughter

I know this post is older but I just found it after looking for similar answers. After a bit of checking up on what was going on with own 10-year old daughter on a server, I discovered she had been "raped" and also was teleported into a room where another player simulated sex with her. I went through about a dozen emotions including wanting to kill the other players. I was more shocked by how my daughter was not only ashamed of herself but was afraid to tell me because she didn't want to have to stop playing the game. I am by far not the kind of parent that lets her child play online for hours alone unmonitored so I was completely dumbfounded that this had went on without my knowledge. I feel so sad for my daughter that part of her "innocence" was destroyed. I constantly tell her not to give out her name, age, where she lives etc all the time...I had no idea something like this would happen. As for now, there is no server MInecraft allowed in this house. She can only play with her friend on their phones when they are together since I know it's only the 2 of them. I've given up on finding a 'child-only" server since you never know exactly who the players are and sadly that type of server can attract people looking for child players. I hate how bad that sounds but it's the truth. Good luck to you all looking for safer alternatives.

Birdy what you could do is have your daughters friend come over and you could help them set up a private Logmein Hamachi server. Then they could play Minecraft PC and have more fun then the Phone version. Don't get me wrong the phone is OK but PC is way better in terms of maneuverability and building ability. There are plenty of ways to get a server up but Hamachi is one of the safest one's i know. Hamachi is where you can download it and make a Network. You can Password protect the network and name it something private. Like you could make a Network called Cookie and the password could be ChocolateChips123. Good luck . Also maybe if you found out if the Owner of a server had Skype and could contact the Owner about your daughter and your expectations about what happens when she is on.

My server the IP is 46.4.60.136:25596 but if you keep having problems OK would be happy to help you set up a mine craft server and help you stop bad people coming also some servers are made up of adults who hate little children asking questions I find this with my sister who is 10 we have many people this age on my server if this does not help you could always apply to a whightlist server which usually have less swearing on as and more friendly people also rember it is not the owner of the server fault who comes on his server as his server is open to the public

sadly ive seen this happen many times within minecraft and the wider gaming community, im a Surgical consultant with the NHS, and during my training i spent 3 months working with children with autism, i can understand the fear that some parents have with letting children on minecraft after all its a completely un-policed game, i found this out myself when my husband was subject to extreme aggression from some players on a server he joined (hes Sgt in the British Army), this is when we both decided to start our own server, we decided to set up a small 65 slot server, with all the things a minecraft server needs, but with a few differences, first of all things like swearing just arent allowed, to maintain our rules we have a large amount of very experienced staff who, are more than happy to play with members showing and teaching building skills, i personally love teaching children the computer programming side of gaming and my husband when hes available to play will endlessly play the mini-games we have within the server, now that i have my own daughter id like to think by time she's old enough to play our server will still be the great learning and playing environment it is today.
im more than happy to talk to parents before there child joins the server and we have a buddy scheme so that players dont start off alone.

my server is specifically designed for families and youth to play on, to date we have a few complete families who play, a wonderful little girl with ADHD and a gifted young builder with Asperger's to name but a few
