Tokyo Game Show, which is centered around Japanese games, and, surprise, surprise, is in Tokyo. I look forward to it every year, just as much as E3. Overall, this E3 wasn't my favorite.

I'll start with Sony. I'm looking forward to Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, since I've wondered since the ps2 era, what a Sony Smash Bros. game would be like. Good on Sony for finally delivering that. But, since pretty much everyone knew about that one before E3, the announcement in and of itself wasn't tied to Sony's E3 conference, so only partial points there, for announcing two more characters, only one of which was actually a surprise. Actually, the majority of Sony's big announcements came before E3. I'm still not sold on a Vita, but it's still a new system, so I'm sure it'll get better with time. An interactive JK Rowling, Harry Potter themed book? I'd probably check it out if I had a Move, but I hate motion control, so I don't have one, and I'm certainly not spending the money to get one, just for that. It's not even a game anyways, so as much as I love Harry Potter, I just can't be bothered. Sony's real show stopper has to be Beyond: Two Souls. That one does look really neat, and looks to be the new mark to beat in terms of graphics on consoles. I was looking forward to finding out what Quantic Dream had to show, but even so, I was still blown away.

From what I hear, MS's conference was total garbage. Not that they've had a good conference in a long time. But, this year it sounds like Halo 4 was the only good exclusive they covered, and that was already announced anyways. Besides, I don't like fps, so I'm not interested in Halo, and never have been. It sounds like they announced some tablet thing that'll be equivalent to throwing money down a rat hole. They apparently filled out the rest of their show with multiplats. I wonder if I should start following their conferences to find out what else is coming to the ps3? Overall, MS was even more awful than usual.

If there's a "winner" of E3 this year out of the big 3, it'd have to be Ninty. Just barely though, considering that they were showing off their new hardware. I'm always up for some more NSMB, but I would have liked to have seen more games for that thing. I'm not a big fan of their new controllers, but I have classic controller pros that have the analog sticks in the right spot, so I don't have to worry about that.

The whole notion of someone "winning" E3, is ret*d anyways, and purely subjective. It's almost always based on who one's favorite is, out of the big 3, and if that company has a bad E3, that person's likely to say that the entire event sucked. Besides, people are so focused on the big 3, that they forget that third party companies have stuff to show too. Some of the big name ones have their own conferences, and even those that don't, but who attend E3, have something to show. I'd say if there really is a "winner" this E3, in general, the point goes to Ubisoft for Watch_Dogs. Well, I'd give the point to SE for their little tech demo there, if I had any reason to believe they'd actually follow through on that and make a game out of it. Heck, even if they say they are, they'll probably feign deaf from here on out when any of their fans have the nerve to mention that they're looking forward to it. Maybe I'd have more faith in them if they followed through with VSXIII, but I don't.

Harry Potter video games have never sold anywhere near the amount as the DVDs and Books as the video games are very poor.
If they made an open world Harry Potter loosely based on the books and movies and show from Phillosophers Stone to the end of Deathly Hallows, I believe that would sell better.

I watched some of E3 on 34 this morning. Even though I am unfamiliar with it's past titles Crysis 3 looks impressive. So I'm going to try Crysis 2 before the 2013 release date. One of the worst mistakes I ever made was playing Mass Effect 3 without playing the other Mass Effect games.

Personally, I felt it was a fairly underwhelming year for E3. Maybe I'm just getting old, but there being almost nothing but game-unvealings just seemed a little blah. While Sony and Microsoft's tablets look interesting, they really didn't blow my skirt up. As for Nintendo, they left a lot of unanswered questions regarding the Wii U's hardware/controller and pretty much just listed games. Maybe it's my age or maybe it's my fondness for gadgets, but the show felt like it just went through the motions this year.

What I'm interested in are Playstation All-Stars (love Super Smash bros. style fighting!), the changes done in Assassin's Creed 3 look fantastic, and I like the God of War trailer...although some might have found that to be too gory. And yay for my 12 free games through Plus! :D

The Microsoft and Nintendo unveilings were a bit pathetic frankly. I didn't expect much from the Wii U but they didn't even use the new hardware at all hardly.

Mass Effect 3, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 being cross-platform for Vita and PS3 is really cool, I will probably be more interested in the Vita than I was the PSP.

One of the worst mistakes I ever made was getting emotionally invested in any kind of Bioware game. Mass Effect 3 would finally make me learn.
