Alright thanks for the answers everyone. I have a few more days left on my trial and i'm already pretty sure i won't be coming back. The only way i could play again is if i could focus most of my time in one character. In any case i will have to avoid nearly all players because most piss me off so much with their heirlooms and immature attitudes. But that's okay, i never needed anyone to enjoy this game with.

No, seriously, stay away. I wish almost every day that I could quit WoW, it is such a waste of time. I don't know who has it worse, either: altoholics or people like me who focus on one character and end up with no way to progress but through ridiculous heroic raid achieves. I was up last night until 3 raiding and it's just absurd to put that much effort into something that has no real life payoff. Then again, sometimes I wonder whether I might actually be learning something from playing WoW: it forces me to deal with strangers more than I otherwise would, especially since I'm in such a small guild I have to join pugs to raid.

Stop playing brain dead PvE and start focusing on PvP.

If you get past the early grind, it can be ton of fun! I love making PvP clips and edit them on Sony Vegas and After Effect.
It actually feels productive and rewarding once you finish your work of art.

But right now it's a sh***y time to start gearing up since everyone and their mothers are decked out in the latest season.
The best time will be early expansions where people are equally grinding gear.

@Nonperson - I think Altoholism is worse, at least with one character you work at it every time you log in, at least there is a end. You are in high level instances while i do Ragefire Chasm or Scarlet Monastery for a few hundred times. Does it help you to know that Blizzard only put in this kind of time sinks to get you to play for as long as possible? I would personally be much less obliged to play if i knew that it was purposely stretched as much as it can.

@BrokenEnvoke - No, simply no. I had it up to here with this game's PvP system. I ALWAYS get owned. And when i own myself it's rarely fun. My Undead rogue used to have Sublety as talent tree because it looked the most fun. Then i went and did PvP. Shadowstep Ambush and my enemies are near death. How is that fun? I want to play WoW like i play a FPS shooter. Everyone CAN win not stupid factors like unbalanced classes, heirloom gear and "epicx" that turn players into steam rollers

It seems like you already made your decision, but I wanted to suggest something just in case you're still on the fence.

How about if you completely give it up for a year and see how you feel about life without it? Completely force it out of your mind and your life and then you'll know, by your reaction, whether you should ever return to it again.

I'm not sure if this is applicable to your situation, but this is what I did when I was on the fence about whether or not I should keep up with a hobby, and giving it up for a year was such a breath of fresh air, without having the sick feeling like I was giving it up forever.

I had many lengthy break in my 6-7 years of playing. Aside from the 10-day trial which ends right around today, i hadn't played for about 5 months. And when i did play 5 month ago i only did so for two month which the second month i regretted alot.

My reaction was and still is that i sounds fun to return. I like to play the game despite it's many many flaws, but i don't want to give up on life. Knowing how addictive i can behave i can see myself playing 5 hours straight to get a figure next to my character from 63 to 65. It's pointless, especially if you consider that many days of playing only lead me to restarting everything i experienced a thousand times already.
