My favorite is still the original.

Still playing through Skyward Sword...I think I might be near the end, I'd like to hurry up and finish it so I can get started on Resident Evil Zero.

'Tis the season.

I'm really glad they fixed the rupee economy in this new game. In Twilight Princess, I got so sick of opening treasure chests just to find another big rupee I had to throw back =| Those fundraisers helped me get rid of a bunch, but once those were over, it was right back to having too many rupees with no reason to spend them. I even bought the pointless red armor, just so I could throw it on every so often just to eat up some cash =)

No, it wasn't a joke, I just didn't collect everything on either playthrough, I just wanted to complete it on the harder difficulty.

I always make sure to have the two full-rows of heart containers before getting through a Zelda game. It bugs me for some reason if I don't.

I have played and finished Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Phantom Hourglass, and Twilight Princess. I have also played a bit of Wind Waker (borrowed brother's GameCube), Spirit Tracks (it is on my to do list), One of the first two games (a demo on the Wii) and Four Swords Anniversary Edition (free download on 3DS). And then characters on Smash Bros games, where Link's jumping down A is the bomb, Ganondorf is a bit clunky but hard hitter, and Zelda/Sheik have a flexibility is one of my favourite.

For a favourite game, I think Majora's Mask, OoT is probably one of the best games of all time, but I liked all of MM's use of time which let them create some very cool side missions that required doing events that is rather unique for games in general.

I've been a fan of the overhead view Zelda titles including my favorite "A Link to the Past", which was originally released on the SNES an re-released on the GBA with the inclusion of "The Four Swords". A great game was also released on the original GameBoy, "Link's Awakening" and that too was also released as a more colorful version for the GBC. The newer generation of Zelda titles can't catch my attention as they are set in the pseudo-3d view.

On the topic of multiple playthroughs, I've done so with most games in the series. Can't say I've 100%ed too many, but got close with more than a few, and have challenged myself in many other ways. I understand 3 heart runs have been popular, but I believe the first time I did anything like it was my 6 heart Hero Mode run through Skyward Sword:

I completed the "Nintendo Gallery" in Zelda:Wind Waker. That took some time.

Finally beat Skyward Sword last weekend B)

Hero Mode sounds pretty cool, but I think I'll save it for my next playthrough, whenever that will be.

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are my two favorites. The music in OoT is the best for me, though.

I love Zelda games! It's hard to choose one favorite though...can I pick two as my favorite? If so, it would be Wind Waker and Majora's Mask. There is a lot of freedom in Wind Waker to just sail the seas and visit little islands. And with Majora's Mask, I feel as though I'm actually in the game and get to watch everyone's lives and be a part of them :)

Huge zelda fan since I was a child, and I want to know; are you one as well?

Tell me what your favorite game was in the series, and why. Or tell me why you don't like Zelda if you feel that way.

Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, and Wind Waker are my favorites, what about you?

I've been playing Zelda since the original was still popular (for NES).
But my favorite is Ocarina of Time by far, then Majora's Mask, then probably Twilight Princess (because it reminds me of OOT), then A Link To the Past.
I also liked the Oracle series (and I wish they could've finished Oracle Of Secrets, that probably would've made a good third).

Wind waker was ok, but I thought it was too cartoon-y for the series, it didn't mix well with the others, and the storyline was an endgame for the series (in my opinion on timeline). I liked it, but they made it seem too far away from the main idea that had been zelda for years and they confirmed the whole "multiple link" theory with it (which I agree with, but it was better when they had OOT link).

With me, I don't really hate the Wii, I just hate the motion controls being a necessity, why couldn't they just made a controller and modes for use with such for those of us who hate moving alot? lol

I have Zelda II on my Wii, and it has baffled me to the point of putting my Wii into storage.

I had Phantom Hourglass a couple years back, when I had all my games and was really into this stuff, and it was legit.
I loved that game.

Haven't played any of the others, probably won't as I'm not really into video games anymore.

lol legitimacy is a bit of a point of view when it comes to games, like for me, legitimacy regarding zelda ended after gamecube, after gamecube the whole series seemed to take a bad turn. They're not bad games, it's just that they changed a bit too much for me.
