My father got me into gaming. He worked for 3M for a long time, so he always had the latest computers and some really cool games for them that he would let me play. I grew up on Commander Keen, Lands of Lore, and MechWarrior II. Then when my brother and I were spending too much time on the computer, my parents got us an NES so we would have something of our own to play. The rest is history. :)

I had played Super Mario Bros. at a friend's and liked it. So got an NES that Christmas (1987). I mostly play JRPG's now and that started with Illusion of Gaia and Chrono Trigger for SNES.

A few years ago I noted that frequent water-cooler chats at work were about gaming. So, in order to develop some common interests with my coworkers, I got an Xbox 360. I noted what games they most often discussedn then purchased and played those. This approach worked well in giving me a way to fit-in better in the workplace.

What got me into it? I think it was love at first sight :lol: I do not know...I started playing and I really enjoyed it. It has always been a great form of escapism of great sufferings......
