Any other Minecraft Fans out there?

I'm not a fan of cut scenes either, but I'll usually put up with them if I have to. Reading the story through text is a lot better. I always have to use subtitles in games with spoken dialogue, and it can be hard to mentally process even then.
Right when you said that Forget-Me-Not is free on PC, I immediately went to download it.
Valdis Story is an Action RPG type Metroidvania, so it's more like Castlevania than Metroid.
On the highest difficulty setting, it's probably harder than most Castlevania type games.

Ah, yeah, I have the same issue... on the rare occaision when I'm playing a game that has cutscenes and actually tolerating them, I do need the subtitles active or I'll get confused. I really dont understand why.
Lemme know what you think of Forget-Me-Not; I really think that game deserves alot more attention than it gets. Though, it must have gotten some decent attention: the developer is currently working on a sequel. Slowly. But it's being made. If I recall though, it's being made for the Vita for some baffling reason.
If you have Steam, there's lots of other difficult games I could possibly recommend, depending on what sorts of games you're into. I have tons and buy new ones much too frequently.
Also if you have Steam, I could hand you a copy of Nuclear Throne if you care to try that. I wonder how long it'd take you to defeat the Throne for the first time...

I'm pretty sure the reason I need subtitles is because of my difficulty with audio processing.
I also have difficulty with visual processing, and I end up having to read the same sentence repeatedly to process it.
I could repeat what a person is saying word for word, or read a sentence out loud, and not remember it the next moment.
Sometimes it's not so bad, other times it is so bad that it's nearly impossible for me to read or listen.
I usually cannot remember anything people say, unless it's lyrics, which never go away.
Forget-Me-Not is awesome. I will definitely be playing this a lot. Although, for some reason, if I leave my Xbox One controller unplugged, the frame rate will not go over 50, no matter what, and it hurts my brain. If I leave the controller plugged in, the frame rate goes up to around 70 and works okay, but it's perfect with G-Sync. Turning on in-game V-Sync at 85 refresh rate works good also. When I started the game, I had my refresh rate up to 144, which made everything move at double speed.
I like all genres. I'm into any game with very high challenge as long as the art direction doesn't hurt my brain.
I do have Steam. I didn't know you could give someone else a copy of a game on there.
I've gifted a few games to someone else before, but I don't know of any other way.
