Though, one thing does bug me: If you downloaded stuff onto your PS3 there as you said, and it got fried... was there something preventing you from just grabbing them again, when (if?) you got a new one? You know, go back onto their store, into your account, and just grab it from there? Since you already paid for them. Dont tell me Sony doesnt ALLOW that... that'd be ridiculously lame in this day and age. I know Nintendo allows it but I'm not familiar with Sony's store these days as I barely use their consoles.

Well the deal was that I simply didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new PS3 system just to redownload everything I had purchased (PS3s are expensive you know lol). Plus I had the thing for so many years that I'm sure the warranty had expired and the PSN account I had was for an old email address I no longer use and because I deleted that email a while back I don't even know if I could still sign back into that account.

Plus frankly I really didn't enjoy the PS3 that much so after mine broke I think I pretty much gave up on new generation consoles. These days I seem to be more into watching my favorite movies and TV shows than I am video games.

As far as DVDs being scratched yeah I completely agree with that which is why I take steps to try and keep mine from scratching lol I now keep mine in little paper packets stored inside their DVD cases. Plus DVDs are very cheap (unlike video games on disc) and if any of mine do get broken for whatever reason it's no problem for me to buy a new one. Plus I don't collect hundreds of DVDs that I never watch I am very picky about what movies and shows I like so I always make sure that I only buy the ones that are my favorites and I know I'll enjoy. Right now in my collection I own The Addams Family/Addams Family Values bundle, Sleepy Hollow/Sweeney Todd bundle, Night of the Living Dead (1990 remake), Zombie: Special Edition, Day of the Dead: Collector's Edition, Hell of the Living Dead, Courage the Cowardly Dog: Season 3 (I hope I can get Seasons 1, 2, and 4 someday), and SpongeBob Squarepants: 10 Happiest Moment (I'm not a big fan of the new SpongeBob episodes but I love the older ones and this DVD has a few of my favorite episodes). There's other DVDs I would like to get someday too like The Golden Girls complete set.

Plus one other thing I love about DVDs is the extra features in the menus and some of the cases have cool boxart especially the collector's editions. I know that everyone tries to say that downloads are better but they used to say the same thing about blurays (which I have noticed have yet to completely replace DVDs on Walmart shelves like people were predicting). I think a lot of people do still prefer DVDs which is why they continue to sell them in stores all the time. I just wish it was as easy to buy older games in that format as it is movies because maybe I would still play video games lol. Oh and I really don't like PC gaming plus I don't actually own a computer of my own I have to share one.

It goes both ways, there are far too many little kids playing multiplayer gaming ESPECIALLY first-person shooters so what is to be expected when you are faced with a constant barrage of the worst possible insults from some 11 year old boy whose voice hasn't cracked. COD is a good example, I would definitely say that previous versions were better and that the newer iterations that are basically Halo with more weapons. In COD there are exploitative 'cheap' ways of playing that can make the game unplayable for everyone. I use to like sports games too like Madden but Madden is basically the same every year.

Ya know what the sad thing is?

For as bad as little kid gamers can be, adults in certain genres are WAY worse. You'd think people would mature over time, right? Hahahaha NOPE.

I mean, really, it's pathetic. I mean, I can understand kids being that way.... to an extent. They're kids. They act like that sometimes. But a fully grown person in their 20s or 30s? They should know better. But certain communities for online games would prove that wrong.

I always think it's best just to mute all voice chat in online games unless you're playing with friends. It's not like most players have anything useful to say anyway.

I'll just say a lot of Kojima's fanboys are extremely hypocritical. At first they defend his decision to get rid of Hayter, and yet they get all butthurt when Konami has an actual legitimate reason to get rid of him from a financial viewpoint. Now they're saying MGS never had zombies and the new game is a sell out...I wonder if any of them actually finished V lol. In any case I'm more interested in this new game with a new writer. At least it plays it straight rather than some pretentious bs explanation like parasites or nanomachines after 50 hours of repeat missions or three previous games.

I got into MGS late so I can't even complain or feel much of anything for Hayter's departure. It does suck yea but somethings can't be helped at the end of the day. I put too many hours into MGS5(180+) although I'm actually not interested in the new game because I'm not really sure where they're going with this o-o It seems so random although I guess they tried to relate it to 5.

What purpose does insulting newbies serve anyway? If you insult the newbies then they won't wanna play video games ... Not a great way to get someone into your hobby if you insult them all the time. I gotta be honest and say that I've never experienced any kinda insult from other gamers like that. I suppose I've just been blessed to not receive so much hatred from my gaming peers o-o

Simple: They're bullies, basically. They do that crap for the same reason that schoolyard bullies do it. It makes them feel better, stronger. Gives them a feeling of superiority. And competitive games, well... for some of them, the whole POINT of competitive games is to prove themselves to be superior by defeating other players.

Like with normal bullies they never, EVER think about the consequences of what they're doing. Not that they'd give a damn anyway... they are too focused on themselves.

And if you DO then beat them, well... their reactions speak for themselves. You'll get the most violent, screamy reactions out of this type of player, if you take them down, particularly if you completely wreck them. Which, I will admit, is VERY satisfying to do...

Overall though, they're just jerks who are able to find easy targets in the newbie players. There's really no reasons beyond the usual for these dolts.

Yea, some people just are way to insecure in there own gaming habits I guess. They always say the bully is very insecure so I guess gaming bullies are the same. See with me I don't really care much nor do I have to explain to myself to anyone. While I don't know about anyone else I myself have been playing video games since I was old enough to pick up a controller. With that being said anyone who calls me a noob will surely have another thing coming :P

Pokemon Genwunners get on my nerves sometimes, but that's not to say that all of them are bad.

I find certain video game fans disheartening, which is why I often don't talk to people about which games I like [not that I even talk much at all].
^Nice quotation, by the way! :D

@Kuraudo777: Thank you! I love your avi, too! :D I once got Skitty as my playable character in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, because the game considered me as naive! XD

^I always either play as Riolu or Skitty, with my partner Shinx or Pikachu. :) I have the guidebook, and once I added up all of the questions to see what personality I was most like, and I got Hardy, Brave, Timid, and Docile [Treeko, Charmander, Turtwig, or Bulbasaur]. I think most were 15-11 points or something, and everything after that was mixed.
