Yeah, it's not like having a CD or DVD that you can use to install the game. But Steam
does have its advantages. As long as you have your Steam account, you'll never lose your copy of your game. As long as you have quick Internet, you can just go onto Steam at any time and have it installed in a matter of a few hours. Your copy is in a file server cloud somewhere on the Internet, never to be lost. And as Internet bandwidth speeds up, the installation process will be even quicker. Like I've heard in Japan, the average home broadband connection is something like 66 Mbps. You could download any game in minutes with a connection like that!
