Quake has been ported to almost as many platforms as DOOM o_O How are you accessing the Internet if you can't play Quake?[/quote]

Well, Quake 1 still feels a bit sluggish on a C= 64 even if it's on the net... You have to remember it's crancing around with a "almost" 1MHz 8bit CPU with limited graphics and it's no good on math. But, it's like the bumblebee, nobody told it it can't fly.

Quake is "a bit sluggish" on a Commodore 64? 8O How does it play at all? That is not possible... I doubt you could even play Wolfenstein 3-D on a Commodore 64...

And don't you only get like... 16 colors total?

Nope. And I never wrote so. For the moment. But the point was that since C64 coders doesn't know s**t about math, and neither does the platform used, who says it can't fly? You can't place sprites in the borders, but who cares? Lets put them there :- ). The point was that it's far more fun to obfuscate the usage of a computer beyond whatever the original designers intended. The C= 64 is such a computer. With a 0.x MHz CPU and a **FAT** sound still unequaly emulated through GHz CPUs and state of the art hardware... (Nothing beats the SID, unfortunately, no new chips produced)

Well then I'm still confused as to how you can access the Internet but not play Quake :?

BTW, you should've said yes, that would've been hardcore \m/

I have an Xbox 360 and a PS3 so I can play every console game I want.

OTH, my PC is getting outdated and I don't know if it will handle StarCraft II whenever that is released.

Lessee.

If I had a Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and either of the others, Soul Calibur IV.

But yeah.

Let me see...

Top one would be Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, released on just about everything but the PC. Why why WHY!

Halo 3 on the X-Box 360, not the PC!

Quake 4, also on the X-box360!!

Resident Evil, on consoles other then the PC. Grrr!! !

These are both for PC...but I seriously wouldn't recommend trying to run any of the REs on PC...terrible, terrible ports :x

I don't really have the problem of not having the console, but its generally the problem of not having the funds to buy the game for the console. I don't know which is worse: Not having the console or having the console but unable to get the game.

I have that problem too. There are many games I want to buy but can't, because I don't have a job.
