I guess I am alright, I like to enjoy games, so I often will go through everything, including just taking it easy and having a loss or two just to experience the entire game. Though I usualy learn better then others, and put into practice better by thinking up strategies, or in some games I am good getting inside other human players heads, predict there movements and get them frustrated (I once made my brother punch a hole in a wall because I pulled off a move where I flew a banshee over his head so he thought that his rocket had killed me but I jumped out ran at him while he was defensless). I always feel inclined in games to play for the long run by saving curency, keeping potions, choosing stats that I think benifet in long term plan, and conserving ammunition meaning I have a habit of avoiding weapons of low ammunition like rockets, I find it difficult to understand why others are so obbsesed with rockets.

Because the radius damage allows much more leeway with aiming accuracy and prediction.

I usually win but overall it's average for me.

And there's always that part where its a one hit kill... Although, I'll take a sniper rifle over a rocket any day.

Sniper rifles (or railguns) take a lot more skill to aim with though, especially if you don't have a mouse.

Unless you're a filthy cheater with an aimbot :x

Personally, I really like rockets in Quake. They're hardly ever a one-hit-kill, they fling you all over the place, and introduce fun game mechanics like rocket jumping.

Does anyone find they lose their skills a bit when they get older? I've recently been replaying games from my old collection and I'm not as good at them like when I was in grade school. I could actually get through Ducktales on the NES without getting hit once, can I do that now? Hell no!

Actually Mega Man I'm actually more swish at. Back in the day it took forever. Now I can go through all 9 games and beat them in an afternoon.

I'm usually great game with games and win, but depends on genre. I'm good at platformers and action\adventure games. I have a more difficult time with shooters and RPG's.

Lost_Soul, over the manyyears when I once played video games whether they were on the pc or console, I was never the best player of them mainly during the time I had a slow computer and always find myself being killed beyond belief in those days..Nowadays, I'm currently building myself a computer system with the intention of playing games..Also, upon the last time playing the Xbox360 I did not do so bad at the game I had been playing still, not the ruler of the world though...

When I was much younger, like in my early 20's, there was barely any Nes or SNES games I couldn't defeat. (naturally, I'm excluding sports, racing and RPG's)

But as I aged, my anal retentiveness loosened, and now I'm not as strict as I was with the old school classics, especially since all you have to do nowadays to see a video game's ending, is look it up on the internet. :P

I can pick up a new game and be good in quickly:P
this can be RPG's, FPS, the only game that really took a long time for me to get good in was Simcity 4. (besides strategy games where constant ordering around is needed like SupCom)
I eat especially FPS, for example on the gamecube you had the game 007 nightfire, and my best friend had that game, I liked playing it, but when I was at his place I never got to play the singleplayer, because we were playing MP all the time, because he was stuck in a level for a couple of weeks, so I borrowed it and I found my way around the level my friend was stuck in after a bit of snooping around, and finished the game a few days later :P.

If a game's story keeps me interested, I usually beat them.

I have no problems defeating RPGs (my favorite video game genre).

I am also a master of games like Tetris, Puzzle Fighter, Puzzle Quest, Lumines, etc.

My skills on FPS games are below average, though. I still enjoy them, but I don't dare enter the Deathmatch games online. They'd just eat me alive there.
