yep i suck at anything but rpgs. so all i play is rpgs mainly. but the one i am the worst at is fighting games like soul caliber i can't do those combos to save my life.

i do fairly good in the kingdom hearts series and other rpgs but i just can't move my fingers as fast to play any other genere.

i got my real sign of this after i got sonic unleashed and got stuck on the plane part with the first boss, the egg caldrum or whatever where they give you all those buttons to press in like a split second i must have died about 40 times before i flung the controller in my rage never got past that part. so i went on gamefaqs got a save of the game 80% complete and downloaded it. problem solved i just mess around on the game for fun now.

my main problem was remembering which button is where on the controller, if i have time to think i'm fine but not that 2 seconds stuff.

i'm not sure why i can't play fps games it's probably cause i can't see the character.

the dissidia limit breaks are mostly murder to me, sure cloud and seph are easy but cecil is another story along with at least half of them i was so happy when i found a skill that does those limits for you.

also any game that you have to guard or dodge you can forget it i can't play it. motion controls and the ds touch screen are my worst enemies. with the ds i wish they would either use pure touch screen or pure buttons no mixing the two during combat. so my two fav games on the ds are ff4 and sonic chronciles cause they are the perfect examples.

ff4 all buttons
sonic all touch screen

i'm not counting the mini games in ff4 cause i don't play them.

Yep. I have yet to find a modern arcade type game that I can get past the 1st level. Especially ones that involve driving - for some reason using the keyboard as a control screws me up big time.

You can get a decent Logitech gamepad for about $8. $12 or so will get you one with analogue sticks.

I'm not great at them, but I don't try much because they often make me queasy. I usually have a strong stomach but that player's eye view some games have really makes me want to ralph.

My real problem is MMORPGs that include PvP features. I can NOT PvP. I am so slow it's scary. I'm the whiny kid who sits there crying (not literally) because the ruthless kid with the quick reflexes skunked her without hesitation. It's fairly embarrassing at my age. Fortunately, Pookythalasa, my WoW main, is a hunter and not intended for PvP, not the way she's spec'ed.

In a way, it's related, though. Trying to keep on target while hitting the right controls... I swear I don't know how people do it.

I've never had much of an issue with coordination. In fact, I tend to pick up on controls faster than most people I know. I am an extremely fast learner both academically and as a gamer. (:
