I'm liking the Berry Pots. Very practical.

Currently breeding a good Scyther.

My Scyther is Jolly and Somewhat vain. It has the Technician ability.
HP 12
Atk 7
Def 6
Sp. Atk 5
Sp. Def 6
Spd 7

I'm quite happy with that. I like the symmetry.

Currently breeding a good Heracross. Finally caught one.
I have still not been to Ecruteak.

Skorupi makes for a very good pokemon. Early on it may seem a little weak but if you give it some poison moves like Sludge Bomb...it can really do some damage. Add in a bug move or two, got yourself a little beauty.

Replace the bug moves with dark or poison as it grows to 40.

I've now beaten all the gyms in Kanto as well. I plan on training a team based around Sandstorm, including a Cradily with Toxic, Recover and two other horribly irritating moves...

Chickorita? That pokemon gets a lot of complaints.

Indeed...

Get a Tyranitar. Ability is a constant sandstorm.

Hippowdon sounds like a better fit to me; Tyranitar works better on offense-oriented sandstorm teams.

I can't wait for 5:30; that's when the Dell guy is coming to fix my laptop. I haven't played any Pokemon for five days, and I was just about to download an HG/SS torrent when the display kicked out.

I like the evolved form, Drapion. Like Skuntank, it is only weak to Ground. I've been meaning to train one, but priorities, priorities.

Heracross with Guts was excellent against Morty, even at level 15-16. (Level up halfways.)
Once it was paralysed by Lick, not even Hypnosis was a threat.
But my Heracross is angry now, for no apparent reason. :? It hasn't fainted more than a few times, it leveled up quite a bit, and I don't use bitter herbs, so I'm not sure what happened.

I wouldn't put Sludge Bomb on Skorupi, since that's a special move. I would use Poison Jab or Cross Poison instead.

I would tend to disagree truthfully.

Given that Skorupi/ Drapion is my only poison type, the STAB bonus applies only to it. And it is still quite a potent move even without a large SP.Atk backing it up.

Poison Jab gets STAB too, and it is only 10 BP less than Sludge Bomb, which is more than made up for by the use of Drapion's higher Attack stat. Cross Poison is only 70 BP, but it also receives STAB and its increased critical hit rate works nicely if Drapion has the Sniper ability.

Without a boosting move, Drapion should stay away from special attacks. Crobat can use special moves despite its lower Special Attack because it can have Nasty Plot to increase it.

When I put a Special move on a Physical attacker, it's usually something supereffective against Steel or Rock, since they tend to make up for the low Sp. Atk with their own low Sp. Def. Not all of them have that weakness, though.

Yeah, like putting Fire Blast on Dragon Dance Salamence even though it doesn't get boosted because of Skarmory. You wouldn't want to do that on something like Gyarados, though, because its special attack is so much lower compared to its attack; you would only have one or two situations in which you would use the special move over a physical one, and it results in a loss of type coverage.

Same here, really. The true reason I want Thunder on my Tyranitar, for example, is that it's freakin' awesome.

Is there a way to get a Glaceon without trading in HG and SS?
