Minecraft. I spent a few trillion years setting it up with a few things to enhance the vanilla experience without making it feel super freaking modded.

It took half the damn night, because argh (ended up being ONE freaking problem that wasnt making itself obvious) but holy hell. Shaders and everything. Might be the most freaking gorgeous game on this machine now. If I'd tried this (with these super-heightened settings) on the previous PC, it would have exploded.

Normally I dont care much about graphics, but this time I figured... you know what, this machine can take it, and it's not like it screws up the gameplay... may as well try it. Along with a couple normal mods. One of which will make the game quite a bit harder. But nothing that pushes it too far away from "vanilla" feel.

I was playing Okamiden for awhile, but now I've switched to Rune Factory 4. It's nice to farm again.

Tropico 3. I'm deriving a strange pleasure from planning efficient traffic patterns, and placing police stations.

A guilty pleasure of mine is the 2D sandbox game for PC known as Terraria, which is alike the famous Minecraft in many ways excepting the fact that it focuses more on progression and class design rather than building elements. I've also become interested in the handheld Pokemon games, Starbound (another 2D sandbox game for PC, but more story and feature-focused) and Fire Emblem Fates (a 3DS strategy RPG).

Rise of The Tomb Raider... Bought it back in January when it came out on STEAM, but I haven't gotten around to playing it until this weekend...

IMO it's a fairly good game so far, but it feels more like an expansion pack to the 2013 reboot than an independent game on its own...

And there is too much combat and not enough cliff-hanging...

Luckily they scaled back the horrible quick-time events from the 2013 game...

I've been playing Starbound like crazy again. I tried to build on a moon and it got blown up by meteorites, so I have to start over with my project...

for those of you who have heard of GTA 5, this is a high speed tour of the entire outskirts of the map in an old cadillac.
i employed a mod which cleared the road of traffic for me, but there are still some situations where i almost lose control.

this is how big the game is. watch on youtube at 1280 for the full effect.
the old caddy gets up and really goes when it's wound up.

MarvelHeroes2016, as I've been playing it now since December of 2015 and have managed to level up almost the entire roster of characters, though I don't have tons of super-powered gear and items as such. I enjoy the game as there are so many different heroes to play as.

Trying to platinum Red Seeds Profile, or at least finish it, since it's October.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X - Oculus Rift - Like nothing better than flying a small plane over the Canadian mountains when it's snowing. Completely immersed :)

There's more, but those are the main ones

What is the best experience you have had with the Oculus Rift so far? I am thinking of buying one and I just want to know what the best games are. I already own DiRT Rally and Elite Dangerous, is project cars worth it? It is on sale with the humble store summer sale at the moment.

I've had a DK2 for maybe a couple of years and used it right up to the release of the CV1. I wouldn't say I got bored with it. I used it regularly for different games and apps. Elite Dangerous is amazing on it. The immersion is fantastic, especially when you're approaching/docking at a space station and going into hyperspace. I can't imagine playing ED without it now tbh. Project Cars is really cool. There are also a number of adventure games such as Edge of Nowhere or RPGs like Chronos. There is also Alien Isolation which I couldn't finish as I couldn't handle the stress. There are also a number of cool apps that are available for it. For watching movies, you can use MaxVR which places you in a cinema with a large screen in front of you and you can load movies onto it. I use this frequently. To be honest, it kind of killed the real cinema for me as I think 'why go to a real cinema when I can have one of my own?'..:)

Would I recommend it? Yes and No. It depends. If you have a reasonable amount if disposable income then yes, I would buy one. But you also need a VERY powerful PC to get the best out of it so the cost of getting into VR is definitely high. Think it cost me around £2500 to buy the CV1 and build a decent PC.

I'm not even going to get into porn...:)

I bought a CV1, I already exceeded the minimum requirements and the Oculus Rift didn't cost much more than my G-Sync monitor. I think the Oculus Rift is great value considering that curved 4K or 1440p IPS monitors can cost up to a £1000 in many cases. The Oculus Rift is very light and comfortable, that was one of the major strong points over the HTC Vive for me.

I haven't played many of the titles from the Oculus Rift store but I have tested out games I have purchased from steam. So far, DiRT Rally and Euro Truck Simulator 2 have been great experiences. Elite: Dangerous can be intense and as a newcomer to the game, there is definitely a learning curve to Elite: Dangerous. I am playing through The Vanishing of Ethan Carter in VR and the experience is definitely much more atmospheric with the Oculus Rift, I will purchase Chronos next.

I didn't know Microsoft Simulator X was compatible with Oculus Rift but I will definitely buy it, do you use a HOTAS for flying simulators? Do you own a wheel for racing simulators?

I watched Warcraft 3D and it was a great experience, it was better than the cinema. I have found that Cmoar cinema app works well with x2 supersampling, the environments in the app are great. It isn't perfect and there are godrays but I think the immersion of viewing a cinema screen is worth the money of a headset alone.

Simcity 4 Deluxe Edition with colossus addon mod 2.1 and network addon mod 34 combined with 8 gb of plugins and growing...

Except when you get more plugins the game loads slower.
