Hate when that happens. The poke'mon just messes with you lol.
Look at the bright side it Ho-oh doesn't run away or blow itself up lol.

One stragedy I use is to use a Wobbefet it ability Shadow tag keeps Poke'mon from running away and it has a good amount of hp to stand toe to toe
with the wandering legends.
One of my favourites I carry with me is Froslass it is a Ice/Ghost type. Jinx is Ice/psychic. I love Driftloon's design and I'm hoping in the next generation for a Ice/Fighting or a Water/Ghost.

Is there any other pokemon with the ability Shadow tag? I've never been a fan of Wobblefet for some reason.

Sablye is Ghost/Dark you could use Dugtrio with arena trap or a Poke'mon with mean look it keeps a people from running away for 5 turns

I'm not sure how to trade between Pearl and HG though.

I would have to know your friend code first though, at least if it's for Pearl. Not sure if it's the same in HG.
Sableye is pretty weak; Spiritomb has the same typing and it's awesome.
My strategy: have an Umbreon with Mean Look and Baton Pass, so I can trap the roamer and then Baton Pass (if you just switch, it's no longer trapped) to a Breloom with Spore and False Swipe. I Spore them, False Swipe until they're down to one HP, and then start throwing the balls.

Good point I forgot about spiritomb.

Is Friend code the same as trainer ID? If so mine is 04670

The Friend Code is for Diamond and Pearl for trading that is not local or GTS. Not sure if it's in any of the other games.

Man I hate how low the awarded points in the battle frontier is I'm trying to buy a razor claw for my Sneasal to make it become a Weavile.

I often use Dark types, a signiture move I often use is Night Slash, and have a couple flying, like Crobat and Gliscor, though I have not really got any of them in my HeartGold game yet. Actually usually I like high attack pokemon, but without realising I have instead created a team of high special attack pokemon.
If you want some tips for catching Entei and Raikou, I can tell you the method I used. First you need to have a pokemon, that is not too powerfull, and or has a move that can put a pokemon to sleep, save first, in fact save at every interval you do something to them. If you do try to use a move to sop them from running, they will instead use Roar, to make you flee, and a working strategy with that is really overcomplicated, so it best to just increase your chance of encounting them. You might think that they change their position each time you go on a different route, but this is untrue, they will actually stay at the same place if you go through a building, such examples are in Ecruteak City, if one of them is on route 38, or 42, you can go there, and they won't change, so you can keep going back and forward vetween Ecruteak and route 37 until you are in Ecruteak and they are next to you. After a while you might begin to realise their paterns while looking at the map, and be able to also use the strategy for being able to encounter them on routes 31 and 32. You put them to sleep when you find them, and in future encounters, wittle down their health, saving in between to safeguared against feinting them, once their health is low enough (either or both) save and and then in your future encounters try to catch it with pokeballs, I heard Ultra balls work best, but I am not sure, it may take a long time,a nd if you run out of the pokeball you are useing, you can load back to start over with them, apparently the chance of catching them is a rather small percentage, so the best chance you have istrial and error throwing. At this point it took me about one save of about 16 Ultra balls, where when I used a few more in my next run through I caught it, and several with several others I caught the next.
Sorry if that is long, but when I was foing it, I became quite proud of finding a method.

The Pal Code is located in the Pal Pad key item, btw. You get it in the basement of any PokeCenter.

It's so brilliant how the Ghost/Dark dual type has no super effective types against it! Makes you feel so... safe. :3
Heeeyy, I'm thinking of trying for a Thunder/Rain Dance team down the track. Any comments or suggestions regarding? I'm not the best at creating a pro team, I'll admit, what with my fail Earthquake team.

Here's a good Rain Dance guide: http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/rain_offense#building

Thanks mate, but I'm there at this very minute! I'm hoping to create a team that exploits Rain Dance (not using KYOGRE cos legendaries are frowned upon) by using Thunder (increased accuracy) and the abilities Swift Swim and Water Absorb/Surf for healing. If you or anyone has any tips for good Pokemon to use or anything I should watch out for with a team like this... I'd love to hear it!
