just a little personal mini-review from what I have experienced so far. Spoiler free as well. And I am not going to bring up the graphics at all, because that isnt what a game should be about/focus on.
- its not as linear as most reviewers make it sound.
- Very character-driven plot, moreso than any other FF game to date IMO, and ive played em all.
- A bit easy early on, but the difficulty picks up quite a bit. It is more or a Real-time Tactical/Strategical battle system IMO.

Ill prolly post my full review on this forum once I 100% it though. Wish the forums had spoiler tags or if I knew the exact code so I can blend certain text into the background :/

How can you say it's not as linear as most reviews make it sound? Granted, I'm only in chapter 7 but so far, it's been completely linear. You have on direction you can go and that's it. I'm not complaining as I am enjoying the game, but it's almost to the point of being an interactive movie.

Hey, dumb question here, but when I've played any Shin Megami Tensei RPGs (my personal favorites!! !) It phrases all decisions to make you think that you are actually making choices, but you are on a relatively liner track.

Does FFXIII do that?

Call Of Duty: Modern Warefare 2 for the computer. If we really want to get specific, I donated to a private server.

There really aren't any "gameplay" choices to make. The only choices you have (at least where I'm at in the game) is what you equip your characters with and how you upgrade your equipment. When you see monsters/enemies, you can choose to fight them or try to get by them without fighting. Those are about the only choices outside of combat you have.

Aren't they the exact same game, except with a slightly different Pokemon roster so that you have to utilize both games in order to "catch 'em all"?

I haven't really played since Red though, so I don't know if it's changed since then.

My three latest are:

Dragon Age: Origins -- Have only played through once, and I am about halfway through on the next playthrough

Assassin's Creed 2 -- finished 100% a little while ago. Loved it!

FF XIII -- started last night. Anticipating very little productive time at home for a while!
