Out of curiosity, where does that 1400 rating come from?
A 1400 USCF rating is very different from a 1400 FICS ratings is very different from a 1400 Yahoo rating.

I know how to play chess, but I find it very difficult.

I started playing chess when I was only 8. I don't want to brag, but I got really exceptional at the game and became one of the highest-rated players for my age group in chess in the whole country when I was only 10. Because of my talent in chess, I decided to keep at it and gradually became better at the game while remaining one of the country's highest-rated players for my age while growing up. I eventually reached a 2000+ USCF rating by my late teens. Although I stopped playing competitively when I entered college as a freshman, I still play it on an occasion.
