Oh yeah...remembered the other part I didn't like: the Killer Croc part. The whole "let's make the player have to walk really really slowly" thing is a stupid mechanic and really adds nothing since you still end up having Croc pop up on you anyways.

Actually walking slowly was not the only method, I mostly used the Zip line as it was quicker and I didn't have to touch the ground as much, the only issue was haveing fast enough reflexes to drop when needed and switch to the batterang, which didn't take too long to get the hang of. I loved that zip line, definetly one of my favourite gadgets.

I tried the ziplines but I always overshot and just wanted to get the part done with.

I loved the restart. The whole Scarecrow side of it was really well done.

I didn't for a second think that the restart was real. Probably because I played it on the PC, and that kind of thing doesn't usually happen on PCs. If a game crashes, it'll normally just crash to the desktop or freeze.

Yeah....I could see how on a PC would kill it...it'd be cooler if it took a picture of your desktop with an error message then went through.

I haven't played it yet, but I want to. I've always had a thing for Batman, and Poison Ivy is my favorite villain and she's in the game.

I don't know why, but something about the ability to control plants just seems cool to me.

Poison Ivy was jaw-droppingly hot, and that's just the foliage panties and boob job! Anyway, AA is easily the best Bat-Game in a long time. Took me a while to get used to the combat mode sequences, but now it's pretty straightforward. The stealth and predator challenges are a load of fun, i enjoy the parts in the game where you hang on the gargoyles and pick off the goons one by one, it's fun seeing them panic.

Pros: Mark Hamill as the Joker, the Inverted Takedown, the Scarecrow's creepy new look, the graphics and the seemingly endless supply of Batarangs.

Cons: Easy boss fights, the Killer Croc scene, backtracking for Riddler trophies after you've completed the game, Batman's stiff walk.

I borrowed the pirated version of Arkham Aslyum from a friend to try it out before buying, then I bought it on Steam. The pirated version ran noticably better than the Steam version... :(

lol, I love this one scene with Harley Quinn. When she tells Batman "You know Bats? I always thought there was a spark between us!" then she kicks a switch and electrocutes a guard in a cage.

BTW, how old is Harley Quinn suppose to be? She sounds like a dingy 20 something year-old, but I think she's suppose to be in her late 30's/early 40's right?

She was a young doctor when the Joker turned her evil, so she's probably in her early thirties now.

Ah OK. I wonder why it is that the male villains always get such hot young gun-molls no matter how old or ugly they are? Like Joker and Harley Quinn, Two Face and Sugar and Spice from Batman Forever, those women in fishnets and corsets with collars Penguin had working with him one time, etc.

I guess you could argue that most of them are just hookers staying with their master for money, but Harley Quinn seems to really be in love with Joker. I guess cause he makes her laugh. :P

Yeah Harley Quinn is a pretty cool character, I liked listening to those tape for a listen in to her origin. A psychologist who is facinated with the insane gets drawn in by the most facinating of them all.

I might also add that I too became very interested in the Joker's character, the whole doing things for the hell of it, terrible to funny to sick jokes, looking so insane yet doing incredibly complex plans and his confidence, I liked how the manequin holding up the tv with him throwing insults several times dureing the game may have actualy been him. I get a bit too impressionable when I play games for too long, and I started speaking like him after playing it for some time. :clown:

Yeah, Harley Quinn is pretty cool. But I still think Poison Ivy is the best. I find her love of plants to be interesting, how she truely cares about them more then people and would rather see a human die then a flower. In a way she's not really that evil, I mean she is part plant herself and protecting those she sees as her equals. She's basically an ecoterrorist who will do anything to save the environment like trying to kill every human on the planet so the world could be like the Garden of Eden without Adam and Eve.

I think it'd be cool to play as Poison Ivy. 8)
