Best system ever?

The PC. No other platform allows such extensive customisation, moddability and scalability. No other platform has as much indie content or as much genre variety. It's also the only platform that isn't tied to "generations", but advances constantly.

I've never been a pc guy just because I could never keep up with one to play new games and plus the pc isn't a console... it's a pc. Duh it would be the best since all games are made on the pc before they hit a console anyway. Sadly I've never had the money or computer knowledge to keep up with one because I realize consoles are always years behind the pc.
As far as favorite console I'd say mine would probably be PS2 since Most of the best games I've seen came out for that thing. As far as now, mine is my PS3 cuz I can play old PS2 and PS1 games on it as well... and it fricken does everything

Umm.. A lot of games come out for consoles only, and never even reach the computer. I love Little Big Planet. The editor is great. There is no computer release. I'm not buying a console to play one game though. I like Shadow Complex, on the XBox 360 Arcade. No computer version. This is actually extremely common.
People are too damn spoiled, because I continue to see how they don't want to spend money constantly updating their computer. Well, if you want all the shiny new mainstream games to run at the fastest possible framerate, then sure you're going to have to do that. My computer is nothing great, in fact it isn't even half of a great computer, yet I can enjoy many great games on it that have been released within the last 1-2 years. Sure, I don't have the graphics maxed out, but that doesn't concern me. I'm glad just to have the option to play the game.
Anyway, the variety aspect of computer gaming usually doesn't require a great computer. I've enjoyed many games, made by every day people, who aren't part of some company, who aren't making a profit off of their game. Games that can be easily played on a computer built out of 6 year old computer parts. Heck, some games I play (and love!) can be played on a 20 year old computer with absolutely no performance loss. People just want the biggest and bestest far too much.

My main point was I simply wrote that the pc would be the best console if it was one simply because no matter what... all games are created on one and that they are way ahead more than graphically when it comes to new games. I didn't necessarily take into account console exclusives so you'd be right that the pc doesn't get every game... but even in consoles you have to have them all to be able to play every game.
By the way, I don't think I understand your comment so much. What does people complaining about not being able to run new games on a pc without spending money have to do with "What's your favorite system?" Realistically to enjoy everything a pc has to offer you would need to be able to deck one out... if you don't, it's like trying to play a PS3 game in a PS1... it won't run. My post simply said I don't play pc because I can't run anything new... I didn't say it was bad or degrade it in any manner. As far as liking LBP... I do too, but also know I can't run it on my pc even if it was available. Plus to your point of being able to play on lesser settings... I can't even do that. I have a 4 year old laptop that overheats... again I just don't play because I don't have a quality enough settup and not all of what I said had to do with money. What I also said would imply that I don't have the computer knowledge to build one. It doesn't help a computer any if I don't know what I'm putting into it. Again I didn't insult the pc... simply said I'm not a pc guy

You don't have to deck a computer out to play everything there is. There isn't a game out there that my 3 year old computer can't run at this moment. My computer cost me less than 400 dollars, and it's still running strong.
Part of the problem with older machines are their graphics cards. Graphics technology usually requires your graphics card supports specific features, and a lot of newer games use those features with no options to turn them off. My mother's machine can run some games just fine, it's just that they're using Shader 2.0 or some crap, so the game wont even launch because her graphics card doesn't support the shader functions. The machine itself can handle the game though. Also, using a laptop as an example for gaming is a no-no. Laptops have overall less power than a desktop computer, even with equivalent parts. They just don't get as much power.
You're arguing with somebody who played games with less than HALF the minimum requirements in every field. And played them with little problems. I do have experience playing new games with out-dated computers.

Heh I believe you... Uhm... I didn't know we were arguing though (Maybe I come off like that... sorry). But yeah I know laptops aren't for gaming. I used to have a desktop but it broke... although from what you're saying I think the video card must not have been for gaming. Ungh... I still get lost at looking at that list of system stuff on the game boxes though... so I think I'll stick with my PS3
