Well, if true, that might explain why you refuse to pay attention to anything I say. I'm narcissistic myself, but I am at least smart enough to think for myself, and accept facts when I see them. ;) S, anyways, your charade won't work on me.

I know you were being sarcastic. I was not however.

Perhaps if you don't know something, like what Wurm Online is, or Unlimited Detail, you could, oh, I don't know, take a minute or so out of your precious time to look them up, since they both are connected to the argument?

Of course Infiniminer looks low quality, it's vaporware that hasn't been worked on in years. It is almost exactly the same as Minecraft in its design, so if you want the "original" instead of an "imitation", play Infiniminer instead.

As I meant to say, Terraria has a much more RPG and combat focus than Minecraft, even though their advertising for Terraria is a bit misleading, as they make it out to be a huge sandbox like Minecraft, which it is not.

and to be honest i would rather not have a big boss in minecraft.

Which is why I said that Minecraft and Terraria cater to different audiences, not the same. One is a sidescrolling RPG with some building elements thrown in, the other is a sandbox building game with some RPG elements thrown in. I sure hope you can figure out which is which.

If you payed attention to the content of this post thus far, and my previous post, I laid out plainly the major differences between these two games, which are a lot more than how many dimensions they are played in. But I can see that you're just argue for argument's sake, which I don't understand because it will offer you no ego boost in losing this argument. Don't think you can beat me, I've been doing this for far too long. Plus, I have intelligence and facts on my side, while you only have your deliberate ignorance. Game, set, match.

i think you are just trying to make me hate you, it's working. i don't look into anything i take no interest in. my logic may not work in your eyes but it does in mine.

what charade am i playing by the way. i was unaware i was playing any game. i am a narcissist the only times i through out my whole life i've ever cared about anything was when something happened to me. my cat kirby is the only exception, he is the only living thing i've ever cared about in 24 years. and i'm 24.

so you do want to make me an enemy, at least your honest.

i don't play games that look like crap.

yeah the trailer does basicly say 2d minecraft on steam, i could give it a shot but i don't see paying the 10 bucks for another 2d game i'll just be horrible at, like every other 2d game i've ever played.

the only thing that makes me interested in this game is i love sandboxes, and rpg games, technically this game would be the perfect game for me, my two fav game genres in one game, but it's 2d, i'd get it in a heartbeat if it was 3d. i suck horribly at 2d games. but in order to know the game more i have to play it. is there a 3d mod or overhaul i could get?

 At least you came to your senses. ;) But I still assure you it's not a clone.

Unlike in Mincraft, all kinds of enemies will spawn in light or dark, but only off-screen. The only way to get monsters to not spawn is by being close to NPCs at your base, or not leaving them any ground to spawn on, like mining a long, vertical shaft underground.

i found that out the hard way, i suck at these 2d games but i'm determined to conquer it. how do you make armor because i'm dying so much, those slimes are nasty.

i would dig straight down but i don't know how to do much of anything, i started playing the game with no prior research. i got a decent sword the first one you get sucks.

i like how the crafting system works it arranges the mats and all you have to do is click a button. took me forever to find out how to place torches though. but i die alot that's for sure i have the hardest time in the world dodging even in a 3d game, but at least in 3d games you've got more then 2 directions to run. i also found topaz don't know what it's for but i found it i might make a new world because i built away from my spawn point, at least it's harder to get lost.

You need an Iron Anvil and a Furnace to make armor, and of course a sufficient amount of ore. If you talk to the Guide, click Crafting, then you can drag any item to the box in the middle-left of the screen and he'll tell you what you can make with that item.

When you die you lose half of your money, so you'll want to build a chest with wood and iron in which you can store it. Then, you can die and get back to your house fast, and not lose money. ;)

yeah i trapped the guide in my house, i made a new map as well. i'm trying to make a town not sure how but i'll figure it out.

so i need an anvil, i have some iron but not much. i also found an auto healing ring so i don't die nearly as much, i like alot of things in this game. like torches create light even if it is in your hand, and being able to jump higher is a blessing. you can't swim though which sucks a bit.

but when i called this game a minecraft clone i ment that as a genre because i'm not sure what genre minecraft and garry's mod type games fall under. gmod is a sandbox game but it is also a physics engine, and a first person shooter.

minecraft is a survival, sandbox, adventure, horror game with a bit of platforming in the caves. horror mostly because of the nether. so i have no idea what they generally are.

terraria is a sandbox, sidescroller, rpg, adventure, platforming, action game. all of these game have everything in mostly an even balance. gmod is just as much a physics engine as a sandbox, minecraft is a sandbox\survival, and terra [easier to remember], is a sandbox\action rpg. i guess sandbox would be close enough.

but i do have a terrible memory i forget things very quickly.

thanks for the money tip i didn't know you lost money, i'm not used to a sandbox game of any kind having a currency.

A friend and I play multiplayer Terraria fairly regularly. Does anybody else want to play with us? My Steam ID is drguildo or you can message me for my MSN username.
